Ignazio Abate and Marco Storari have apparently been ruled out of Saturday’s match, but the situations of Kalinić and Gigio still need to be clarified.

Milan beat Inter 1-0 in the Coppa Italia quarter final last night to advance to the tournament’s next stage but did so at the cost of losing three players to injury.

Marco Storari suffered an injury during the warm-up (which meant Antonio Donnarumma was given his Milan debut), while Ignazio Abate and Nikola Kalinić were both unable to finish the game and were substituted in the 53′ and 73′ minutes.

According to Sky Italia’s Peppe Di Stefano, the tests Storari underwent this morning showed no calf injury, but he still has to rest for at least 8-10 days. Abate, meanwhile, suffers from contracture to his right calf and his situation will be evaluated in the coming days, meaning he’ll miss Fiorentina.

Kalinić could also miss out on the trip to his former stadium due to a traumatic injury in the area between his foot and his ankle, as he was stomped on by Milan Škriniar in last night’s derby. The condition of the striker will be assessed tomorrow to see if he can make the squad for Saturday.

Gigio Donnarumma will also undergo more tests tomorrow to see if he can recover from his injury in time for Fiorentina (12:30 CET kickoff), but it’s not impossible that his brother will start again.

Wish them all a quick recovery. It’s typical, I think Abate had a solid game, and it’s always like this the last couple of seasons, as soon as he picks up momentum and starts playing at his best, he gets injured…
No problem with seeing A. Donnarumma play again, he earned it after the Coppa game, and then of course, no worries with seeing red hot Cutro start as well!

And Biglia-Loca-Kessie midfield can work well together if they all play like that match.
But the consistency of Biglia and Kessie is the problem.

True, but it seems like Gattuso has plans on playing Bona in midfield with Hakan on the wing. It would be very nice if we could get Hakan to perform he would be an added weapon, his introduction in the derby looked more promising than ever. I would say that Kessie has been our most consistent performer since Rino took over though, otherwise I agree.

If only Kessie would stop with his damn shots though lol xD
I think that is the main reason I don’t like him. His misplaced passes and those infuriating attempts at goal.

Sell the useless players:

Abate, Biglia, Mortolivo, Antonelli, Kalinic, Paletta.
