Gustavo Gomez’s agent has stated that the player will not leave after Milan had a meeting with Fenerbahçe leaders.

Gomez is a target of Turkish clubs and today (Tuesday), representatives from Fenerbahçe arrived at Casa Milan along with Gustavo’s agent Augusto Paraja to speak with the Diavolo leadership.

The meeting lasted about an hour and upon leaving the Milan headquarters, Paraja told “He is not leaving, he’s staying at Milan.”

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Fenerbahçe presented Milan a paid loan plus option to buy offer, which director of sport Massimiliano Mirabelli and Chief Executive Marco Fassone rejected.

Gomez, 24, joined Milan last summer from Argentine side Lanús. The center back made 19 appearances last season but with Leonardo Bonucci and Mateo Musacchio both joining, playing time could be even more limited this year. For now, however, he stays.

Yes! Yes!! Yes!!!

He must stay, always gives his all and can still improve a lot. He played well for most of the games.

Very good news,he will improve. A bit shaky at times but he is good at long passes.

Oh thats a relief. I am actually bit of fan of his. I think he was great in the end of the last season with three in the back.

Good choice. He still can improve.

Musa and roma are injury prone, zapata is slapstick king and bonucci isnt getting younger so keeping gomez as back up is very good idea

van basten

verry happy he stayed.
believe he can be a verry good centerback.
for his first year-he had good times
and with zapata + gomez we have 2 good alternatives to play 3 at the back
this team will be a ROCK in short time
vamos milanista
time to enjoy our colours we bleed

Dulla Zanzibar

Let him stay please, even if he is gonna get few playing time but nice for squad depth

Let him stay please! nice for squad depth

Comment:nice to stay,he can still improve forza milano.

better than Zapata & still improving, he’s aerial deadly in corner attack…

I think this guy is good. he is quite skillful for a defender. he should stay with bonucci, Roma and mussachio. Milan should find the next boat for Zapata and palleta.

Hopefully this means Zapata is moved on, despite playing well so far in the faw official games, helping the team to 4 clean sheets so far. That said, With Paletta really Close to Lazio, and after over a month of looking for suitors for Gomez, i suspect he will be staying put, when only loan + option offers came in. Still, Sosa, Paletta, one of Gomez and Zapata should still be sold and moved on before the window Closes, and thats if there are no more arrivals. Im not really expecting anyone else to come in, from Fassones statement, so… Read more »

Comment:i tink he is beter dan zapata,he is still young nd can still develop wit milan.i will b very happy 2 c him stay

Yes we need depth, let him stay, sold zapata and promote one of our best youngster from primavera

I’m happy he stays and hope he stays. For a first year in Europe I think he did well, he will improve!

There is always room for improvement. I’m happy he stays even as a depth player. Forza Milan

Good decision Milan.

Stock up well for the long season ahead.

This guy should be ahead of Zapata in the packing order and he has done well in the later stages of last season and he can only improve and is confident with the ball. That’s very rare for a defender. A dry loan is the best option at least to Serie A as so to study the league with no pressure whilst getting vital game time.

Bonucci – Musacchio – Roma – Gomez – Gabbia – Zapata

Comment:forza Milan…. Always loved gomez

Not a bad player at all
