Renato Sanches is still a target for Milan but Bayern’s valuation of the player is higher than that of the Diavolo.
Fassone said that at the moment Milan and Bayern Munich couldn’t come to an agreement over the price of Renato Sanches, but the Rossoneri keep trying.
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge stated that they see value in Sanches and would only want to see him leave on loan, but reports in the last days suggested that Bayern have re-opened the door to something more.
According to Sky Italia, Milan have made a first offer for Sanches, but it ended up being rejected. The bid of the Diavolo was reportedly €10 million for the loan of the 19-year-old, plus an option to buy for €35-40m next summer. The Bavarians, however, feel that the Portuguese is worth more.
Meanwhile, reports in Belgian are linking Milan with Anderlecht midfielder Leander Dendoncker. Milan scouts watched the 22-year-old midfielder last week and Anderlecht have set a €30m price tag.

Gk, cb and dm/cm are 3 positions that demand maturity, mental strength and composure from the players more than any other positions. U can fool around like quaresma or garrincha playing as rw but u cant do it playing as cm. Thats why i think guys like rijkaard, vieira, davids and renato are special.

Renato can play as dm, cm and am, has quick feet and dribbling, is rather small but physically strong. Yes he’s VERY similar to matthaeus.

They probably see Chelsea ready for a bidding war. Milan has offered quite a lot for him. I would sugest we move for Kovasevic of Real instead. There are plenty of options that are way better than him
Very tricky negotiation, as the kid is undoubtedly a super talent, but has yet to be really tested.
I don’t know our true budget, but we should be focusing on strikers. Assuming we have enough for 1-2 strikers in reserve, I would say 30-35 mil should be our limit. Even 40 is acceptable, but we need to remember, for all we know he can flop just like Balotelli as an example (different position obviously, but no lesser of a talent).

It was a fair offer if the numbers are true. Strange since Rummenigge said just a few days ago that an offer around 48m is enough.
Has to be a mistake (reported cost). I think Milan’s offer was lower than this since it was the first offer. It just doesn’t make sense otherwise.

Ah shame..It’s not a huge deal or anything, but we need more depth in our midfield and we could have had one of the best young talents in world football. The offer as mentioned in the article matches the valuation Bayern had for renato, yet it’s turned down which means either the numbers projected in the article are not true or Bayern want to initiate a bidding war since Chelsea too seem interested.
In any case 10+40 mil is a very good offer for a player who barely plays.
And for this kind of money there is no dearth of alternatives.
Negotiating with Bayern is always going to be an uphill battle. They conduct transfer negotiations on principle. Bayern is the healthiest football club in the world financially. They can afford to buy a world record player every transfer window, they just choose not to on principle. If a player wants to leave, they will sell you Kroos for 25m. Goretzka or dendonker are better alternatives.
At 22 years both are ready to be protagonists. Plus they have been playing regularly so they can both hit the ground running. Both of them are equally good with both feet.
Renato however is younger, has not played much, and is himself looking for some playing time to continue his growth.
We don’t have time to groom him. What we need is ready made players to make it to UCL and beyond.

There was a time when clubs used to get good talent from Portuguese league, so clubs will tend to increase the price of their players. Same as Brazil, they no longer produce top quality players as before but clubs still pay very high prices for players.
We are perceived as a big club with money now. All such clubs typically get overpriced for their transfer targets.

Renato Sanchez is a gamble for that price tag. We can either go for Kovacic, Andre Gomes, Naby Keita or Forsberg.
Even though these players play different positions anyone of them would be a better addition than Renato Sanchez if we are to spend that kind of money.
But I’m 100% sure that Fassone and Maribelli will figure it out. I am impressed with what they have done so far.
