Juraj Kucka has joined the Turkish side, signing a contract until 2020.
Trabzonspor have officially announced the signing of the 30-year-old Slovak midfielder from Milan today [Friday], after Kucka had passed his medical check-ups.
“Juraj Kucka has signed an agreement for three years until the end of the 2019-2020 football season,” Trabzonspor Kulübü wrote on their Twitter account. It’s suggested that Milan will be getting €5.5-6m with Juraj earning €2m as season.
The ‘tank’ leaves Milan after two years in red and black. His first season under Sinisa Mihajlovic was relatively impressive and with his grit and attitude on the pitch, he managed to win the hearts of many of the fans who didn’t understand his arrival. In his second year with Vincenzo Montella however, he found more competition and didn’t play to the standards of his first year.
Kucka joins the line of midfielders who have left Milan this summer as the loans of Mario Pasalic and Matias Fernandez have expired, while Andrea Poli was sold to Bologna. Good luck in Turkey, Kuco!

In reality, Kucka isn’t Milan material so I’m glad we sold him – he deserves to play somewhere and he wouldn’t be playing at Milan with all new players arriving.
Like I said in a previous post, has been one of our best performers ever since his arrival, some stupid fouls and red cards, but its part of his game. Underrated player who has much better technique than what is expected of him.
Im sad to see him leave, but for once we actually got paid for a player who left us, which is something “positive” I guess.

I don’t see how Milan could sell kucka and even consider Lucas Biglia as a midfield replacement for anyone at AC Milan. I’ll say again that kucka has the physicality of Genaro gatusso but with a lot more ball skills and passing ability. This is what Milan needs as a defensive midfielder in this era

Lucas biglia can do nothing better than kucka where football is concerned (nothing at all). Frank Kessie is 20 yrs old while biglia is 31yrs old and kucka 30. So tell me why AC Milan would release kucka and want biglia. ( and incase u haven’t realized they’re both midfield players)
The comparison with gatusso and kucka is because they are both enforcers in the midfield but kucka is better technically and if u didn’t know, gatusso averaged (1) goal every (4) seasons. (Pezbru)
