Gianluigi Donnarumma and Milan will continue together as the Rossoneri’s proposal has been accepted by Gigio, his family and his agents on Thursday.
The answer CEO Marco Fassone and director of sport Massimiliano Mirabelli have been waiting for has arrived, and it’s a ‘yes’: Donnarumma will sign a four-year contract extension and stay with Milan.
As reported by MilanTV, Gianluca Di Marzio, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milannews.it and others, the deal is complete and the signature is the only thing that is missing to make things official. There was a meeting today between Fassone & Mirabelli with Donnarumma’s entourage, Mino Raiola and his cousin Enzo in which they agreed on everything, with the encounter ending in a strong handshake between Fassone and Raiola. In addition to these four, the two parents of Gianluigi were also present. The player did not take part in the meeting.
MilanTV claims that Milan’s offer has been accepted without any compromises and it was the will of the player and his family to stay at Milan which was crucial in reaching this important agreement. As reported by Milannews.it, the figures of the last days have been confirmed: the Rossoneri will pay Donnarumma €6m per season and also sign his brother Antonio to a contract worth €1m yearly.
Milan’s original offer reportedly included a contract with two clauses: one for €50 million in the event that Milan don’t qualify for the Champions League, and one for €100 million in the event that they do. However, Milannews.it reports that there will only be one exit clause in Donnarumma’s contract – which is also valid for clubs in Italy; the amount of the clause is believed to be €75-80 million. In addition, Sky reports that Raiola will recieve 5% of Donnarumma’s salary, which is about €500k; the infamous super-agent will not, however, get any commission or a percentage from a future sale.
The final details are being sorted out so that the signing can take place shortly. After endless drama, the telenovela is finally over: Donnarumma will stay at Milan – at the very least for one more season.

Good news he is like new signs
I would have been happy. If things did not reach the point which there did. Well done Fassobelli bt I am not happy with how Donnaromma has behaved throughout this negotiation process.
If I were his brother, I wouldn’t have balls to show up even in the stands through this way.. I m not rich, but I still have my pride. You know, he isn’t homeless. Even when he doesn’t join Milan he can still live a much better life economically than most of us.. No need to be a money whore…
OUT
We qualify for champion league and he leaves for 100M. Double joy. After signing this contract, please find a house in Madrid. Now that you have a 6M salary, get yourself a classy and posh house. Keep a spare room for Raiola for sleepovers.
Can you tell me where you find the Madrid story? Besides some newspaper rumor, there was nothing about Real Madrid so stop making crap up.
No smoke without fire. Making craps. You shouldn’t live in self denial. So don’t pretend it’s not madrid that he wants. Nothing wrong as this is a club with most CPL medals and second highest Revenue in the world
Lol they both will probably sleep in the same bed, no need for extra bedroom.
Hahaha this is very true plus enzo. No need for an extra room but a king size bed is a must haha
seem like juve try to get gigio, matuidi, keita balde & ibra for free with taiola as main weapon…
it’s just lame way for a big club which just sold the most expensive player ever not so long ago, a player that they get for free & also free replacement (kedira)…
they used to win seria a with srange way like always, beware calciopoli karma… that’s why they will never be as big as Milan…
Plus they will never win Champions League because there is only one Italian team that knows how to and that’s Milan.
Because they havent won it twice already?
last season they use same strategy to sign neto from fio for free,
now they do to us in gigio & mds, lazio’s balde & psg matuidi…
where d’ll is pogba’s money?!
they also get most profit in CL,
sucha pu$$y club…
BUY BACK THE LOVE The damage is done and no contract can buy back all the love. I knew his family won’t be able to withstand the media pressure again when i saw the open letter written by the Italian Education Minister reffering to Donnaruma as a disrespectful student. Even Mihajlivic said 3days ago that almost half of Italy and not just Milan fans are against him and advised him to stay at Milan. Mino has dented the reputation of an 18 year old kid for money and unfortunately not everyone would EVER forgive him. Salvini was asked last night… Read more »
FORZA MILAN!
Deal or no deal he’s still a traitor “DOLLARUMMA”
Wake me up when it’s all over …
The problem now is who will be stupid enough to buy him for 100million next season? We are kind of stuck with Donnarumma and his brother and it rrally doesn’t make sense to me. If Madrid refused to buy De Gea for less than 100 million is it Donnarumma they’l buy for that kind of amount?
i remember his brother said that he only get money by him self by hard working… then why we’ve to sign him???
& who d’ll is enzo?
so we give contract to gigio, his useless brother, we feed his family + fat taiola & enzo the minion???
unbelivable…
Basically he is getting 7m per season, when his brother is getting 1m.
It was a good move to renew his contract, but should be sold for 100m next season if possible.. there are many good underestimated goalkeepers in the world – as an example i can mention Schmeichel or Reina is decent… He is important now, but with a good defence another might do a better job.
Precisely so there’s no problem with such a clause or do you hope that we don’t qualify for champion league so that he can leave for 50M? I prefer that we qualify for CPL and tells Madrid that he cost only 50M. Come n get him.
Guys once again let’s not be so bitter. Why don’t we let him talk. Eventually he has to say what all this non sense was about. Either way it’s a win. He’s a fantastic goalie whether we like him or not. He either stays loyal to us or we sell him at the bare minimum 50m.thats amazing money for a goalie. I have friends who support Juventus and while this was going on they rubbed it in my face that when Buffon retires gigio will go there for free. Now I can laugh back at them. Donnarumma I truly hope… Read more »
@Milanellofm.
I totally agree with you. I was reading the Madrid fan page and they were “licking their chops” at the prospect of landing him. Despite pissing us off big time one cannot deny that Donna is a top goalie. His huge physique and the speed at which he gets off his line to deal with one on one situations really sets him apart from most world class goalies.
Let’s hope his saves in the coming season will makeup for this whole fiasco.
Yeah donna is very fast sweeper gk. neuer eat ur heart out.
In all seriousness, donna’s bad in one on one situations as he often comes out late to close down opponents and is bad at anticipating low shots
Remember he’s only 18. He’ll learn.
His brother too? Why not his mistress or his cat? I don’t like it one bit. And people say it’s Raiola to be blamed ……I don’t think it’s only Raiola.
The only good thing I see it’s we don’t lose him for free next year.
The love is not the same, i hope milan get a good deal next few years to get rid of him
Imagine how much Juve is bidding for DE sciglio, 6 million when we talked about 20million initially. Kucka that we value at 10million, we are struggling to sell him for 6million. I seriously hope we get a buyer for Donna next season.Raiola knows Donna will hardly get a buyer for that amount as a goal keeper, that’s why he has been doing all the nonsense he has been doing
The deal is not sweet again because the boy has lost a lot of love from Milan fans. But players like Conti,Hakan etc are coming to milan with bigger love than Gigio’s. It gives me a lot of joy. Forza milan.
Donnarumma has gained back the love from majority of Milan fans on the globe, we foregived him and forget about Raiola is greed.
John cat
You must be dollarumas brother
Lol he must be dollarumaa house keeper.. I lost lot of love in him since this stupid saga all started
John. U r drunk. We will support him because he is a professional goalkeeper for our team. We don’t love him as a player and a person. He can stay with us for rest of his career but he will never be our legend like Maldini. Even if he retires with us, he is not our legend. Even though kaka left us mid way, he is still our legend because kaka was being forced out. I love kaka thiago silva and even Ibra more than this 18yo kid. Bottom line, now he is just a superb player in our heart.… Read more »
Yep Conti ever mentioned any other team than Milan, HAKAN, silva, Musacchio , thanks guys
Good for him. He better justify that salary or be ready for more insults.
I don’t like gigo like old time hope pilizzari grow and we can send gigo for 100mil where he want to go
Now they are saying the greedy pig agent will get 5% of Donnarumma’s wages – bastard! Donnarumma’s only way to get back the love is to fire the pig and do some explaining on what the hell happened. They are saying he was crying to his teammates – if he loved Milan so much, why did he allow this shitty situation to happen?
Signing his brother is a total joke – didn’t his brother call Milan clowns?????
Nothing needs to be explained. He was first offered a contract extension by Galliani a year ago. Now this saga dragged on for 3 months. What is there to explain???? Stop blaming Raiola. If this boy wants to sign, he would have signed long ago.
Although Antonio did speak out about the situation it was his brother-in-law who called milan a club of clowns
Out with him! I want to see players who love these colors even if they are not that technically gifted… he lost it. Maybe he has a little chance to turn it around… we will see when he opens his mouth. But I’m not hopeful cuz he is a disrespectful kid. Disrespectful not only towards milan but also italies education system.
Imagine taking Douglas Costa from under the nose of Juve, or Di Maria from Inter.
Well Donna will be signing a 4 yr deal worth 6m euro per year, while raiola will be getting 5% of Donna’s salary without any share in any future sale. For the clause there will be only one set at 80m euro or there about whether Milan qualify for CL or not
IT’s NEVER BEEN THE SAME AGAIN I try not to be bitter as per advised by some of us here, but it just feel so wrong to love Donna again. We used to love him, But his resistance to sign, Piggiola string of antics, the rumors exacerbating the situation, fueled by our emotions pretty much did the damage in the fans heart, not to mention adding the headache among the squad and management. Don’t get me wrong, im not sympathizing Donna, im also mad at him, but to think that he stucked himself with piggiola and his indecisiveness makes me… Read more »
Ungrateful gold digger. Dollarumma.
I hope you are shown the door next season.
6 mil my foot. You don’t deserve it yet.
1 mil for his brother. The same guy who called Milan a club of clowns, but now is ready to join us because he will get 1 mil. Shame on these guys.
Why don’t we sign his entire family, so the donna family and their ringmaster raiola can show mercy on poor Milan.
I can never forget or forgive donnadrama.
is this supposed to be a joke? The only thing thats missing is donna’s signature? Isnt HIS signature the single most important determinant of HIS own contract deal? Is he member of jackson 5 or something? And fassobelli are expected to go to ibiza where donna is having vacation to collect his signature? Hungary ’50s invented beautiful total football and false nine, holland and cruyff perfected them, figueroa and beckenbauer perfected sweeper role, pele and puskas made #10 prestigious, matthaeus and rijkaard perfected box to box role, neuer perfected sweeper gk role. what in the world has donna done? He’s… Read more »
@Milan10. You are really obsessed with Neuer. I must admit I never watched him when he was 18 years old so I can’t make a direct comparison with him and Donna. But you can’t ignore the fact that Neuer is 13 years older than Donna (if I am not mistaken), so obviously he had more time to refine his art. You say Donna is a “poor man’s Van der Sar”. The same Van der Sar who only lasted one or two seasons at Juve before he was shown the door – he was not good enough. Italy has quite a… Read more »
The same dino zoff also said that Donna didn’t get a thing right at the euros, as he was mentally affected by all the fiasco.
It’s easy to see that Milan is not his priority. He trusts his agent to get him the best deal, so be it. Let him leave for a good sum next year.
You have yourself mentioned that there are many talented keepers in Italy so we can reinvest in someone who wants to play for us.
If u follow football long enough u’d read/hear about “once in 20 yrs talent”, “once in generation talent”, “next maradona/pele etc” all the time. Even cassano was regarded as italy’s best talent for the last 25 yrs, deisler was dubbed once in 50 yrs talent. that doesnt mean we have to take it at face value. Did u believe pele’s words when he said robinho was his successor at santos? So far donna has done nothing to warrant that future best gk title while guys like buffon really earned it by winning euro u21 and playing consistently well at club… Read more »
@Agni. I agree with most of what you said. Btw just like most diehard Milan fans I am pissed off by his behaviour during the contract negotiations. First in the case of Donna’s poor performance at the Euros, coach Di Baggio is culpable. He should not have played him given all that was going on. He had other good goalkeepers on the bench. Second, it is pure fantasy for some Milanista to claim that we should only have players who “really have Milan at heart”. In most successful teams you will find players who are only there for money or… Read more »
When mu finally gave roy keane his deserved pay rise he paid them back straight away by scoring match winning brace against arsenal. Can donna do it too? I highly doubt it
Why are you expecting donna to score a brace? How many match winning brace has neur scored though
“Pay them back straight away”.
I could explain myself better but i respect ur abstract thinking too much to do it
Hell yeah!!!! You go girl
I really want to stop commenting on dis dollaruma saga but d issue will just not go away. IMO, nobody shld plead for d fans to love dollaruma becos it is clear d luv is not reciprocated… Dollaruma doesn’t need eternity to sign a paper, he was in d euros when he rose up to defend fatiolla, he agreed to not sign d contract, it was not fatiolla who singlehandedly took d decision…It was a miscalculation on dia part…Dey believed d hype of dollaruma will bring a gud offer, unfortunately none came…Dey even cooked up d PSG offer but nothing… Read more »
so now we sign GK who not good enough to play in greece league & used to call us clowns…
we’ll be real clown if board make gigio as captain just like in the contract proposal while ago…
Bonera is 100x better than this snake bros…
@Milan10. You know your football but some of your analogies are way off. First, Pele is known to make bizzare statements so most knowledgeable football fans don’t take him seriously. You can’t compare him to sober minds like Maldini and Zoff. Second, the fact that Van Der Sar finished runner up 2 times with Juve does not mean anything. Valdes won more than most keepers with Barca but no one in their right mind will rate him in the top 5 of his era. In my opinion Van der Sar was a good goalkeeper but not “one of the best”… Read more »
It wasnt only pele who spoke highly of robinho. Madrid and barca were fighting for his signature too and in the end madrid paid santos 30-50m for him. Was he worth it? I dont have to tell u tales about bojan and milan’s very own de judas do i? My point is, there are so many ex-next legends around as living proofs that >90% of hot prospects fail to fulfill their potential so its unwise to just believe the hype. what we do know for sure is milan have been conceding > 40 goals/season for 4 straight seasons, with or… Read more »
@Milan. You are taking my words about Valdes out of context, you are much better than that. Nowhere did I suggest that he’s at the same level as Van der Sar.
Btw England based players tend to be overhyped. If Inter’s Handanovic was playing for Tottenham he would be regarded as one of the best ever.
Then why did u bring valdes up mate? I thought we were talking about neuer, van der sar and maradona of gk.
R u impying van der sar was overhyped? It was iffhs, uefa and fifa who gave him all those awards and honours. Nothing to do with british media and fans.
Bottom line is, if van der sar is dizzy gillespie and neuer is miles davis then donna is michael bolton
It’s funny reading how everyone is thinking about selling Donna next year, or how his release clause is too low, or salary to high… Sell him next season? Let’s make sure we have a decent team by then first. People here seem to forget, but we are currently a mid-table mediocre club who finished behind Atlanta… How about we first worry about finishing above Atlanta, displaying at least flashes of decent football before we release the best player on our squad because our feelings got hurt. Let’s wait before we have a team which is not a complete embarrassment to… Read more »
What makes u think donna is milan’s best player? What makes u think he’s so good that he’s irreplaceable? Milan could easily buy 30m gk who’s better than donna, no fuss no muss.
Taking into account the past two seasons (which I was unfortunate to watch almost every game) he’s been our best player overall. He simply played at the highest level in his position, consistently, more than anyone else on the squad.
Runner ups Jack, Romag, and Suso were good, but still far from his level (if Suso gave two consecutive seasons last the last one, he would come closer).
That’s according to my eyes and memory at least.
And no, there’s nobody at Donna’s level and under 30 which costs 30 million.
There are plenty of good gk in spain and germany who cost <30m. Hell, even perin is better than donna
Do we pay a fee for Antonio? As far as I know he isnt out of contract in Greece?!
Maybe antonio were just doing an internship there in greece
For sure he was not playing professional football.
FYI both the greek team Asteras and Genoa -which holds 30% of his rights- will be paid but most probably small amounts. Even they don’t value a player to which we will pay 1m/year. Insane and very embarrassing. I am extremely curious to find out what will be the length of his contract.
I am not too sure what to think about all this. On one hand I am glad that it is all over and he is staying, but the way it panned out was really bad; not just for him and his agent, but also for the club, fans and football in general. On the other hand, we will be signing him on to a 4 year contract which will essentially cost 7 million net a year [6 million for him and 1 million for his brother]. Most of the players we are letting go for will not fetch 7 million.… Read more »
Things will never be the same again…that’s just the way it is. Liberia is following
If Montella want to play 3-5-2, We will need two more signings!
A center back and a forward
If we can sell the following players…..
DeSciglio – 10-15M
Paletta – 2-3M
Vangioni 1-3M
Bertolacci 10M
Bacca 20M
Suso 30M
Niang 10M
…..the proceeds would fund the signing of Aubemeyang, and then we only need to get a center defender.
Not sure what Suso is doing on that list of yours. He’s still a kid, was one of our most crestive attacking outlets last season and i thimk thwre is every reason to keep him. He seemed.to disappear when we needed him to step up, but he is aboit to be surroumded with better players than last season. I’m excited to see how he reacts.
Besides, with Homda and Deulofeu gone and Bacca and Lapa still rumoured to leave, Suso represents some continuity up front. I think he will be very iseful to Montella in shaping next years attack.
I agree and I like Suso, but with a 3-5-2 system in mind, Suso will not fit.
Say we play a 3-5-2now with Conti in the team would it be crazy if we were to play the back three Abate musacchio romagnoli and push Conti to rwb. Abate I think would be good there. We all know he isn’t the greatest going forward and he’s pretty solid defending. He has pace and he’s strong. So I think he would fit well there
We all know he isn’t great going forward but he isn’t great going backward either. Can’t wait to see Conti there with Calabria as back up.
Why is Suso on Ur list? Suso is staying regardless of the formation we are deploying. To hell with Donna, Antonio, Raiola and their family. We need to free this guy. 7m for an ingrate family is weird. We need to do away with this folk gk. He will demand more when his 4years contract expire. #Forza Milan
Did anyone hear the news about Donna escaping from his school’s final examination despite having HIS OWN request of rescheduling approved by the examination board? Instead he went to Ibiza.
This kid has a serious personality problem.. That’s not how you want a Milan player to behave..
Not to mention it is reported that donna wants fassobelli to come to ibiza so he can sign the contract. Conti was humble enough to come to milan to sign the contract before flying to ibiza. Not donna though; He thinks he’s above the system. That kind of bad attitude is gonna be his own downfall someday if he doesnt change. Havent football players learnt enough from best, gascoigne, cassano and balotelli?
True..in fact even they did not do it the way Gigio is doing it. However, Best was out of league I guess.
Let’s hope the kid learn soon.. He still has long career ahead.
There is one great thing that gladdens my heart in the contract, which is “Sky reports that Raiola will recieve 5% of Donnarumma’s salary, which is about €500k; the infamous super-agent will not, however, get any commission or a percentage from a future sale”…..i know Raiola won’t work fervent that much again to get him sold, since he will have no share of the money. I guess that was why the annual salary got to 6mil just to accommodate the 5% Raiola will take yearly from Donna’s money. This was made possible because of his family, and I guess that… Read more »
Dollaruma should at least finish his schooling then he will realise what stupid relationship he has with Raiola and how stupid he has been to destroy his reputation at such early age. He better, at that salary get 30 clean sheets a season.
@Ed. Clean sheets depend mostly on the defence not the goalkeeper.
