Hakan Çalhanoğlu is getting closer and closer to Milan as the distance between the Rossoneri’s offer and Leverkusen’s demand appears to be decreasing.
At the start of the week it was revealed that Milan had initiated contacts with Bundesliga outfit Bayer 04 Leverkusen to discuss Hakan Çalhanoğlu, and reports in the Italian peninsula and in Germany are reporting that an agreement is close.
As reported by Sky Italia, Milan are offering €21 million plus bonuses for the Turkish, who can play in several positions both in midfield and in attack.
The difference between this offer and Leverkusen’s demand is said to be €1-2m and so Sky believes that an agreement can be found this weekend, with the white smoke coming already on Monday.
German site Revier Sport, who first broke the news about Çalhanoğlu and Milan, is reporting a similar story, and they believe that Leverkusen will be getting €20m plus bonuses for the 23-year-old. Hakan’s agent, Bektas Demirtas, told Revier Sport that “it looks quite good” when asked about the negotiations. It’s believed that there is already an agreement between Milan and the player.
In addition to Çalhanoğlu, Milan are hoping to close the deal to sign Andrea Conti from Atalanta on Monday. The distance between the sides is minimal and the agreement will arrive shortly.

I agree, we signed good players, at least better than what we already have, but i am a little bit worried about the fact that we are loosing our italian identity…
Darmian(10-12 mil), pelegrini(12-15 mil), benassi(10-14 mil), bernardeschi(35-40 mil), berardi(20-25 mil).
With loan+obligation/option to buy or/and exchange players, like kessie and borini deals would be ideal deals, instead of RR or calhanoglou or borini or kessie.

I dont understand why Milan has not yet gone for Andriy Yarmolenko… he is the best winger in the world you can get right now for 20-25M and without gambling alot of money…. I like Yarmolenko, but he being the best winger in the world for that amount?. Then you have only watched him on YT, and his stats in Ukrainian league. Yarmolenko is good, but not worth more than 20m. Other clubs would have bought him by now if he was all that

you said bacca twice and Suso is best player in your “hope they stay” list. i agree about Monto, IMO he deserves to stay. we already have too many midfielders: Berto, Monto, Locatelli, Kessie, Bonaventura. Kucka, Sosa, Mauri should leave. someone like Biglia will be signed and 6 midfielders are more than enough, IMO.

He is more like 5.8 out of 10. Nobody in our current squad is even that good of a 7.8. Perhaps only Bonaventura, Donnarumma are closest by 7.5. Suso is a 7.2. Only Kessie, Musacchio, Rodriguez are maybe a 7.8 and could reach above that with the exception of lucatelli who is a genius and the best player 7.8. He is deep playing DM who can defend, tackle, keep possession, dribble, shot, attack. I wonder what this means for Biglia? Will he still join? Calhanoglu is more of a mezz’ala or trequartista as far as I know. Maybe Monto will be given the confidence as the regista along with Loca. That’s fine with me as it will be less competition for Loca.
I would also keep Bacca. I’m sure he will provide the goods with a functioning and creative team around him.

Same in the Euros 2012 with a functioning Italy, he isnt a player who can do it all on his own, but if the team is working, so will Monto, and a functioning Monto would benefit most teams tbh.

I like him a lot, the guy is very versatile can play literally any midfield position to win to second striker. He’s young and has a lot of promise and he is arguably the best free kick taker in the world right now! Last year he had 7 goals and 7 assists in 22 games, that’s very impressive. Had to sit out the remainder of the season because of a transfer ban. For 25m it’s a great deal excited to see him

Montella try 352 at the end of last season and he wanted to switch to that this season, that is sole reason he wanted suso out because he will have limited or no time on the pitch. Really hope Suso stays. He was the highlight of last season and his skills were a joy to watch especially playing in a Milan team full of under performers like Ocampus.
