Milan are thinking about the day after Donnarumma and contacts have already been initiated with Neto’s agents.
It remains to be seen if Donnarumma will leave in this window or next summer when his contract expires, but what’s clear is that Gianluigi will not wear the shirt of the Rossoneri again, as the club confirmed today that the player made a ‘definitive’ decision to reject their offer for renewal.
The decision of Donnarumma and of his agent Mino Raiola caught many by surprise, and it leaves il Diavolo in need for a new first-choice goalkeeper.
As reported by journalist Romeo Agresti, Sky Italia and Milannews.it, Milan have set their eyes on Norberto Neto, who’s been the second-choice keeper at Juventus since 2015. Contacts between the Diavolo and Neto’s entourage have already been initiated and Juve value him at €10-12 million.
The 27-year-old Brazilian is also on the lists of Watford, Valencia and Napoli. He was previously coached by Montella at Fiorentina. Milannews.it also brings up the name of the Udinese-owned Alex Meret, who won Serie B with SPAL last season, while Sky suggested that Genoa’s Mattia Perin could be an option as well, despite the fact that the 24-year-old is coming off a knee injury.
Pepe Reina’s agent has already taken his client’s name off the list, suggesting ‘there is absolutely no chance’ of the Spaniard joining Milan, while Wojciech Szczesny is also a name that interest Fassone and Mirabelli, but the Polish is promised to Juventus and will soon move to the Bianconeri.
At least from the initial reports, it doesn’t seem as though Gabriel, Marco Storari or Alessandro Plizzari would be first-choice next season; Milan are on the market for a new goalkeeper.

I feel for you nas and for all of us milanisti. To be honest, this didnt surprise me bcause the writing’s been on the wall for quite some time now but all the same it understandably hurts. Donnaholic here me me me. Never claimed that he is better than Buffon etc though. But we did lose the most reliable goalkeeper we could have.

Loosing Donna is a huge step backwards, in every respect, and makes this summer look much less successful. Nas has every right to feel bitter.

Dollaruma could have saved us 6 pts in first half of the season but he cost us even more in 2nd half of the season since this transfer issue got into his head and letting him go cant be worst.

I just hope Milan management find someone capable in a swift manner and sell Donnaruma asap. The sooner we put this to bed the better. I actually love the idea of getting rid of him for another player. Player for player would be a lot better than getting money. As there are a few players from real madrid, manchester united and psg who have got players that can easley fit in milan.
But yeah, if we get a great swap or a lot of money [which would be hard due to contract expiring] then I am not too fussed, as our defence got way stronger this year. This is really an inconvenience and a hiccup that was not needed.
