Gustavo Gomez is already thinking about the next match despite the ‘pity’ that was Inter’s last-minute goal last night.
It’s been a day since the Derby della Madonnina ended in the result of 2-2 and the Milan fans are still having difficulties getting the image of Inter equalizing in the 92nd minute out of their heads.
The Rossoneri had to do without starting center back Alessio Romagnoli last night and Gustavo Gomez was given the nod by coach Montella. Despite conceding two goals, it can be said that the Paraguayan had a very decent match on Sunday night.
“I am very happy the manager decided to field me in the derby,” Gomez told MilanTV. “I’m happy for my performance, not the result. We are a bit sad for the draw in the final moment, we were missing a single minute to win and it’s a shame but we’re already thinking about the next game.
“Inter’s goal in the last minute? It all happened very fast, we didn’t manage to stop them. It’s a pity. We have to work also on this. But now we must focus only on the next matches and immediately take home the three points again. My performance? I always try to give my best.
“I knew that I would play from the start since Saturday. I try to always be found ready. Suso said he would walk home from San Siro if he scored a brace in the derby? Let’s see if he keeps his promise…”

You are an excellent back up for Romag and Paletta. Keep work hard and please less offensive when have the ball on you
He did good but he must improve his passing composure because he kept giving away the ball to Inter all game with his clearences not that i blame him for it rather that than to give away a goal
U can be better, just need to understudy a more experience defender
I wasnt lucky watching the game live, but was lucky watching the repitition already knowing the result to pay attention to all the players in detail … I heard that Gomez wasnt playing good from Instagram … Well, i’d happily like to say that actually Gomez seemed to be our only diffender without Paletta … Maybe because Paletta was doing all the dirty work … Accpet of two header clearances by Paletta ALL other interceptions and clearances were by Gomez and Locatelli … Yes he miss passed the ball too often in the first half, but it was an overall… Read more »
