Gustavo Gomez and Juraj Kucka have already returned to Milanello; Bacca and Mati will only be back on Thursday.
Gomez was only due to return from international action on Thursday as his Paraguay side has a match tonight against Uruguay (kickoff time is 02:00 CET).
But the center back who arrived from Lanus this summer is suspended for the match and according to MilanTV this afternoon, he didn’t stay with the national team and was already at Milanello today to start working for the Udinese match as he’s challenging Gabriel Paletta for a starting role.
In addition to Gomez, Juraj Kucka has already returned to the training center. Kucka didn’t take part in Slovakia’s match with England two days ago due to a blow to the chest which is already behind him. The midfielder is out of the matches with Udinese and Sampdoria due to suspension.
The Italian players – Luca Antonelli, Giacomo Bonaventura, Mattia De Sciglio, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Riccardo Montolivo, Alessio Romagnoli, Davide Calabria, Alessandro Plizzari and Manuel Locatelli are all expected back at Milanello tomorrow, in addition to Keisuke Honda of Japan.
Chile’s Matias Fernandez and Colombia’s Carlos Bacca will arrive on Thursday and won’t have a lot of time to prepare ahead of the match with the Bianconeri on Sunday at San Siro (15:00 CET kickoff).
Matias i heard is injured so i don’t think we’ll be seeing him soon, Bacca may or may not be fully fit for the match so maybe he won’t start, i think it would be nice to see (assuming we are still playing 4-3-3) Lapadula at the tip of the trident flanked by Bonaventura and Suso on his left and right! the midfield trio should then be Montolivo surrounded by Sosa and either Poli or Pasilic. All in all, Montella will have to really think hard on which players he will start with against a tough looking Udinese team who… Read more »
Nicely said, definetly would like to see lapadula on the starting team, even if bacca is our main striker. Lapadula needs to get minutes so he can adjust to milan and serie a as soon as possible so we can rely on him more often and be better fitted when need it. About midfield and centre defence its a tough call, but i would go for gomez in defence and sosa and pasalic with monto, maybe some minutes for locatelli. Best of luck and hope for a nice win.
Abate, roma, gomez, antonelli, vangioni, pasalic-monto-sosa, suso-bacca-bona/lapadula. We should also try Honda on d left side of d midfield, I think he can be gud there
