The fans continue to voice their discontent: less than 10,000 Milan season-tickets have been sold so far

It is reported than less than 10,000 subscriptions for the upcoming 2016/17 season have been sold.

It has been five years since Milan last won the Scudetto and with the Rossoneri’s very disappointing performances over the past few seasons, it seems that the fans in Italy don’t have the same burning desire they once had to watch Milan at San Siro.

As reported by today’s il Corriere della Sera, less than 10,000 season-tickets have been bought by Milan fans for the 2016/17 season and it looks very likely that Silvio Berlusconi’s last year as the owner of Milan will also be the year with the least subscriptions sold in his 30 years.

Vincenzo Montella and his side will still see San Siro pakced in the big matches but the stadium will look even emptier than before during the majority of the Rossoneri’s home games.

Keep signing the likes of Sosa and you will struggle to sell even 1000 eventually

The fans who bought those 10k tickets are some of the few patient fans.

As much as I like your comment, I still want to add that everyone who has been a milan fan even in the last 10yrs/9yrs has been patient… We have been absolutely loyal to remain Milanistas to date.

Wake up. It’s not like glory days Milan team are in the pit struggling trying to get out. It’s been 5 years, since last class players left the team and all we saw was worse and worse performances. Don’t get me wrong, I was a Milan fan, I am a Milan fan and I will continue to be one no matter what, but in situation like this can you blame people for not attenting what’s most at the time apears to be poor performances? It’s natural, for me it hurts to see Milan in such a bad shape and because… Read more »

How many did you purchase? Watching it on your laptop may be bearable after defeat but going to the stadium pay money and watch your team spanked day in day out is unacceptable.

Yes we do but if they keep making decisions like sosa we will never win. The Turkish papers even say that Milan overpaid for him. They need to spent big if only just once but they’ll reap what they sow. Right now they’re not spending squat so they will win squat. Just think they sold El sharaawy and bought sosa. What kind of stupid move is that?

What a naive comment.
They only real voice fans have is their money.
Buying season tickets when the mode in charge don’t change is counterintuitive.
If you want change, you have to make your voice heard.

I really understand protesting/boycotting if/when situations at milan, especially regarding take over, are still not clear but cant they see milan have finally seen the light at the end of the tunnel now? All milanisti has to do is sit and let all jigsaw falls into place for from this season on things will get better, not cancel their supports just because things dont go their way yet. If what they say is true, Money will surely arrive soon so this mercato is the last time milan cant be protagonist because next winter mercato, they will buy champions left and… Read more »

Buy champions left and right is a bit of an overstatement… Besides, its not just about signing a so called champion, we have to find the right one. I remember Juve splashing the cash heavily when they got back from Serie B, buying the likes of Amauri and Diego for example, both cost them over 20 million euros each… so even if we will have the money, its not about just spending it for the fun of it, we need to spend it wisely.

Well sure, spending wisely dortmund style is a must. i remember milan splashing tons of cash on guys like lentini, 2nd wave of dutch players, comandini, jose mari and all that crap but lets be honest here, days of celtic, ajax, red star are long gone. Now teams must have financial muscles to be competitive, and thats what all of us milanisti wants: for milan to buy big again and win ucl eventually

Or spending it like Juve has done after the horrible signings that both you and I mentioned, they have a clear structure, and its no shame to look after them and try to emulate what they have done in the market for the past years. Like you said, Amauri, Diego and Felipe Melo, all flops, and cost about a combined 60-70 million? While Pirlo was free… So of course, financial muscle is needed, but whats the point if the signings are useless, we need to act smart and identify players that will really fit in our style of play and… Read more »

Agreed mate. My point is to be smart when spending the 1st and most important thing is to have the money., then u can manage it savvily. Days of santos, ajax, grande torino, mu of charlton, celtic when teams full of homegrown players conquered world football are gone. Now even these so called smart spending teams like dortmund, juve or atl madrid are in fact big spenders. We all know how things turned out for milan when berlu refused to spend, we got taiwo, vergara, constant and u know the rest.

Im amazed to find that even with schezwan noodles boy as our owner we still cannot sell more than 10000 tickets hahahhahaa! Where are those rats who were saying chinese milan is going to come back hahahahaha. They cannot even provide 1 cent for our summer transfer budget. These are our owners now! Manchurian ballboy who dont have one cent to give to our milan. Not suprised those tickets are at their all time low because even our milana brothers know this chinese are no good unlike the masses who spew out nonsense over here about how great this chinese… Read more »

You realize they don’t technically own the club yet, right? You expect them to dump in money to have something go wrong and the sale not go thru? That’s not smart business.

Don’t be a numb skull. Sale is not enen completely finished and you all of a sudden want fireworks? Such money in such operation is not the same as taking 1 eu coin and going to buy yourself a nice cone of icecream. Other than that, modern football is more bussiness than passion and I have this negative feeling that this situation may stretch in a longer period of time… Well, I just hope that how we gradually ended up at this football level we will manage gradually to come back.

i was going through some of the old post and came across this: https://www.rossoneriblog.com/2014/05/27/shameful-treatment-of-seedorf-and-business-mismanagement-by-greg-mcdonald/ got to say, I was a big fan of Seedorf, and the way he got treated was a joke. I can’t think of anything wrong with what he was trying to do, other than the fact that he wanted to implement his ideaology ASAP. And to be fair to the guy, all the fans wanted that, 2 years on, and and we still complaining about the dead weight which Seedorf wanted to get rid off.lot of the things seedorf was trying to accomplish back then are… Read more »

Makes sense. They don’t even get matches weekly broadcasted on the States anymore. Unless the opponent is juve, inter, Napoli, or Roma. The shine is gone. Especially hurts for me since I will always be die hard, but my 5 year old is growing up with a club he loves only because of his father.

We as ac Milan are doing the same thing we have done for five years now and that is signing other teams garbage whit players like Arbeloa and Jose Sosa and now we are talking about Fernando and Lucas Leiva who both are way too old and too slow to upgrade our team, but instead of that we are signing players who are nearly latter stage in theyr careers and who will only become a burden for us now and in future! So we must stop signing thies panik signings and consentrate young and up coming star players who will… Read more »
