Jeremy Menez will not take part of the matches in the United States tour after picking up an injury in training which sends him back to the peninsula.

The forward, who may not be part of the team come the end of August, travelled with the squad to Chicago on Friday but is forced to return to Italy due to an injury.

“AC Milan communicates that the player Jeremy Menez has suffered a calf injury to his right leg during today’s training at the University of Illinois in Chicago,” the club announced.

“In accordance with the medical staff the player will go back to Italy where he will undergo more exams.” This leaves Montella with Luiz Adriano, Matri, Niang and Vido for the striker position.

Guys, i think we should get Giuseppe marotta juve’s CEO , he is doing incredible job. From serie b team to Barcelona competitor. Comparing with galliani, as i remember, when milan won last serie a, we were top player destination, juve only small team with mediocre player. Then juve get their momentum after our CEO gave juve pirlo for free, after that juve has increasing their strength till now, last time i checked they will get higuain, and already got pjaca only for substitute. Another question, where is our talent scout? In 2012 we had link with player like Gabriel… Read more »

talent scout ? back then we had leonardo – who ended up as coach and then as our biggest rivals’ coach – our sporting director who we released got snatched up by barcelona within hours – milan really need a year 0 – and unfortunatley ive heard this so many times that im starting to believe not even this year will be a year 0 – losing out key market battles (banega pjaca vazquez etc) and we only have a 10-15m budget – good luck reaching europe

The day we start to realise that we are no longer a big club and start promoting our youth players and also scout young talents all over the world at cheap prices, thats when our turnaround would start. Aubameyang, gourcoff, darmian, saponara, elsha, astori etc.. all were not given the chance and were sold. I watched modic during the pre season last year and he was better tgan the so called established players but he didnt even kick a seria a ball and was loaned mastali, felicioli, mastour. Now we have crutone and locatelli perfomed brilliantly during the just concluded under 19 european championship, galliani will… Read more »

from a long time we havent got a coach who can nurture young talents. Montella have a god eye for youngsters, I hope this year will be the year for our youngsters to come out and find themselves, as till know we lack in squad depth.

We need our legend, Maldini in Galliani out. ASAP. So even with this uncertain future i’ll be vey happy if galliani out

Unlucky, now we cannot offload Menez and get some much needed money to start out transfer market; and we’re stuck with a player we have no use of and we pay him great deal of money to do so. Gazzeta reports that Galliani has been given a green light to sign free players and do what he can with loans; since there is only one month left till season starts. In translation we can expect flops like Arbeloa and we can only hope Caceres will choose us over Inter (don’t know why would he), along with few ‘bigger’ loan moves… Read more »

The players are still getting injured all the time. That has been the story for last 5 yrs.
At the end of the season the coaches rues having players missing because of injuries.
I think the medical staff needs to be changed for good.
