Hachim Mastour is moving to the Netherlands to find more playing time.

After his two-year loan spell at Malaga was cut short by the La Liga club, Mastour has found a new club and will spend the next season on loan at the Eredivisie side.

“PEC Zwolle has added a new player to the squad,” they announced on their website yesterday. “Hachim Mastour has been loaned from AC Milan for the season. The 18-year-old attacker can play on the left, right or in the center. Mastour has both Italian and Moroccan nationality and spent last season on loan at Spanish side Malaga.”

Gerard Nijkamp, the technical director of PEC Zwolle, said this about the player: “With Hachim we get a talented player that needs a platform to develop further. The fact that he was on the Milan bench at 15 years of age says enough about his technical skills. Talent also needs playing time to get to the next level. We give Hachim an opportunity to continue playing in the spotlight with us.”

After getting just five minutes of action last term at Malaga, it seems that PEC Zwolle, who finished 8th in the league last year, represents a better option for Mastour to keep developing.

I really hope he turns out to be one of the greats. He is just 18 so I am not too worried about the fact he couldn’t make it in Malaga. Altough it is bad that he didn’t get any real game experience.

He couldnt even make it in Malaga B team so Mastour should be worried but hopefully he can get his career on track in eredivisie

If he can integrate smoothly into dutch league then maybe milan can loan him to psv or ajax next season to sharpen his attacking skills and instinct. Holland have rich attacking fooball culture and theres no better team to nurture attack-minded players than psv/ajax
