Respective agreements are reportedly in place with Dinamo and with Musacchio’s agent as the Rossoneri are looking to add the winger and the center back to Montella’s squad in the near future.
It’s going to be a very interesting summer for Milan as with the new influx of money arriving (soon) from China, Adriano Galliani will have something to work with and give new signings to Montella, who today will be presented to the press.
After a meeting with Montella and Gancikoff in which ‘we talked about spaghetti’, vice president Galliani went on a mission to Zagreb on Tuesday night and yesterday he returned to Milan along with the agent of Marko Pjaca.
According to Sky Italia, La Gazzetta dello Sport and Mediaset Premium, Milan have informed Zagreb they are willing to pay €22-25m plus bonuses for the 21-year-old winger (pending Chinese approval) and that offer would satisfy the demands of Zagreb, who only a few weeks ago wanted €15 million.
Gianluca Di Marzio reported last night that Juventus are still fighting Milan and are ready to match the offer of Milan. The last decision will be made by the player himself. His agent Marko Naletilić, a long-time Milan fan and friend of Galliani, admitted that playing in the Champions League is not a priority while Pjaca himself said in the past that he’d rather play for a weaker side than ‘warm the bench’ for a bigger side. He’s expected to make up his mind and choose between Milan or Juve today.
Di Marzio believes that Pjaca is leaning towards Milan, also due to the fact that Galliani showed he strongly wants him by going to Zagreb to speak with Dinamo’s President in person.
In addition to Pjaca, Milan are also looking for a new center back and it seems that Mateo Musacchio is the man the Rossoneri want. As reported by Alfredo Pedulla (Sportitalia) and Di Marzio, the 25-year-old of Villarreal is the first choice of Milan. The Sky man claims Milan already have a deal in place with the player, who fractured his fibula and dislocated his left ankle on April 2015.
Di Marzio wrote on Wednesday evening that while Musacchio has a €25m release clause (La Gazzetta dello Sport and Marca claim it’s a €50m clause), Milan would prefer to pay €18-20m and are hopeful they can close the deal in the next days. GdS are a bit less optimistic, writing that Villarreal have already rejected €21m from Tottenham and €22m from Carlo Ancelotti’s Bayern Munich.
It’s said that Milan tried to enter the race for Mehdi Benatia and hijack Juventus’ deal but the player seems to be guaranteed to head to Turin. Another player that interests Milan is Mateo Kovacic of Real Madrid. The player could be put on the market (for roughly €30m) and the Rossoneri, according to La Gazzetta, would be considering to make a move for the former Dinamo Zagreb midfielder.
It’s going to be a very busy summer for Galliani and also for the Milan fans as there will be many rumours and very little truth in between. The summer is still long, but il Diavolo are capable again.

I somehow feel that bigger issue is his behavior and ambition to play in CL. I too believe that its stupid to sell him, let alone to sell him for 5mil less then what we bought him for.
As much as i like him on milan shirt, i want him to end his career in better way, milan need time to revamp we’ll be looking cut & replace players, 2-3 years milan will be a better team, during this period if Bacca became surplus his career will be torn-apart. I believe he can do better & hope to see his performance in CL. If he go to AM and win CL I’ll be happy. if only he is much younger he should stay.

That easy Milan does not need Bacca to succeed, I like bacca mostly because he is Milan player, i believe there is a lots of player with better potential & younger than him. someone who could grow with Milan.

I don’t like splashing the cash just for the sake of it and throwing it on every other player like rich clubs nowadays do. I hope they spend wisely and follow some self-imposed rules otherwise the club will get a bad reputation.
Also, I’m a sucker for tradition so I’d like Milan to concentrate on Italian and Brazilians mostly.

I would rather we made wise investments rather than throwing cash left, right and centre. If you look at the players that City, PSG and Monaco bought when they first changed owner it was ridiculous, and got them nowhere. They overpaid for players that didn’t win them anything. We run the risk of unsettling the squad, these new players will need to bed in and get used to the team and/or Serie A, that takes time. Because Bacca doesnt really fit in Milan as they want to play with 1 striker… Milan want a target man that is good in the air too you know someone like Cavani for example believe me selling Bacca is a good thing if Milan get back the 30 million they payed for him Bacca will start to decline in a few years when he loses his speed
