The Rossoneri won two 45-minute matches on Tuesday in South Italy as Sinisa Mihajlovic gave a chance to youth and bench players.

Milan failed to win against Atalanta and Juventus but at least have something to smile about as today (Tuesday) they defeated both Bari and Inter 1-0 to win the San Nicola Trophy.

Milan (like the other teams) mainly used reserve and bench players in this round-robin competition that consisted of mini 45 minute matches.

The Rossoneri played first, beating Bari thanks to a 13′ minute own goal scored by Denis Tonucci. Inter then went on to beat the Biancorossi 2-0 (goals from Rey Manaj and Fredy Guarin). In the final match, Milan defeated the Nerazzurri with a 15-minute Andrea Poli strike which was enough.

At the end of the evening, veteran goalkeeper Christian Abbiati was awarded the San Nicola Trophy, as can be seen in the picture below (image via Milan’s Facebook page):

chrisrossoneri

Is there anyone watched these matches? Suso nd Boateng how performed?

yourBoss

We should not be playing Inter every month. This could decrease the value of the derby.

Gman

Yeah, i have a feeling we will meet them again in the winter in Dubai or something

Shams

Any highlights guys?

YK

Milan only know how to win lowly matches as this.

Rosso138

It is just friendly… Last year we beat Real Madrid in their top form and then in serie a we were awful… It means nothing…

And I agree, we need to stop always playing with Inter, we should play more internacional games, with Borussia, Lpool etc. (And clubs which players we are interested like Zenit – Witsel)

Wow!!! We have lifted 2 trophies this year. Galliani would add this one to the tally to compete with boca jnrs and al ahly as the most successful club in the world…lol.
Forza milan 🙂
