Mattia De Sciglio played 90 minutes in Milan’s Coppa Italia vs. Perugia win last night and says “we need to continue on this way and try to improve.”
Perugia weren’t much of a match for Milan as last night the Rossoneri got a comfortable win in the Coppa Italia but regardless, one of the positive notes was the performance of De Sciglio, who like the entire team, is looking to bounce back from a terrible 2014/15 season.
“We were very happy about President Berlusconi’s presence at the San Siro for the match and he gave us the right motivation,” De Sciglio said after the match. “The young defense? We always try and give our best and do what the coach asks of us in the build-up to the match. I think that on Monday the whole team did well and that’s what we wanted.
“Understanding with Ely and Romagnoli? It’s going well. They are two excellent players who are the future of this team. We cannot help but improve during this season. The tactical set-up? We’re playing with a different formation compared to last season, the movements are different but we’re working well during the week to keep a high pace going into the game. And we can only get better.
“The task of the full-backs? We need to push more as we play without wingers. We work hard during the week to keep the intensity throughout the match but we have a whole season in which we can do that better. Returning to form? I’m simply focused on staying relaxed and working hard.
“I try to stay calm and work hard, and the coach will then make his decisions. Scoring goals? I’ll find the back of the net soon I am sure! Europe? We still have a whole season ahead of us and we must take things one game at a time, especially after last season that went like it did. Fiorentina? It will be a tough game in their home stadium. We have to immediately put Monday’s game aside and think about Fiorentina.
“It will not be easy but I’m convinced that if we play like we did in this pre season and with the right intensity then we can put them in trouble. Mihajlovic’s words in the locker room? The coach told us that he wanted us to attack more after Perugia were reduced to 10 men, instead of keeping the ball and managing the game. But he said that we played well all the same.
“We need to continue on this way and try to improve. What impressed me the most about Mihajlovic? His determination and his character. He has charisma and wickedness that he’s able to pass to the squad.”
you 3 are future of Milam + calabria!!
I love my new milan ⚫
still waiting to see the first 5 seriaA challanges. but am super hopeful….frozamilan.
The fact that Miha started with what’s obviously our best CB pairing, at least for now, and not some “experienced” flops says a lot; only by doing what the coach wants will you be a guarantee. Forza Milan sempre!
PS: for my fellow MilanistiNaija, Startimes gets to show all Serie A games this season (in addition to Bundesliga games.) No more DSTV rip offs…
Dude please share the link of that website am in South Africa
Check out their fb page & twitter handle. They are slow to upload their website
Milan don’t need lucas, it better to go for soriano which is young and he can adapt with a little time ahead, I love the victory but we need witsel, soriano, and ibramovic all together
Bro he’d be no better than any of our starting mids. You would be wasting money on a bench player. Why not just use it towards a top class mid?
What impressed me the most about Mihajlovic? ”His determination and his character. He has charisma and wickedness that he’s able to pass to the squad.” Underline WICKEDNESS.. I love that, that’s something this team has been missing for sometime now and last time I saw that Wickedness, it wasn’t passed down by the coach but by a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Mihajlovic was a good choice…!
Comment: The best gift d president need to pass to us(fans),is Zlatan and witsel…#LetTheLeagueStart#.
MIha has charisma !!!
What happened to Mastour. Is he completely left out. Try him out instead of buying a lot more expensive players. He is playing national matches for his country, why not AC MILAN A serie matches. He is the future.
miha knows what he is doing… he put ely romagnoli de sciglio and calabria, along with niang.. that is 5 young players… you cant have a team full of youngsters… you need experience… especially in CAM spot
Comment:If I may ask where is Mr Enthusiasm? Hell wrong choice you never should have accepted that burden. I’d only Want to remember you as a player, not as that clueless and disastrous coach. Forza Inzaghi the ‘finisher’
Comment:miha will succeed at milan just ansolotti did if the management continue to support him specially gialliani
Lol its funny to hear De Sci say that while he is only 22! You’re the future of our team also!
The charachteristics of Miha that De Sci describes the reason i wanted Ibra, so he could pass it down to the squad, but if Miha does that… I dont know. I would still welcome Ibra, but a class midfielder should be the priority of course!
Comment: milan realy need isco nd ibra if nt get isco den go to brazil nd get gud one pls i luv milan.
