Jackson Martinez is ‘one step away’ from becoming a new Milan player.
Adriano Galliani has returned to Italy and it looks like he is back having accomplished what he went for as an agreement with Porto and with Martinez is believed to have been reached.
Milan will pay Jackson’s €35 million buy-out clause and the player will most likely get a 4-year deal. Martinez has an offer from the Premier League (from Manchester City reportedly) that is more lucrative than the one he has from Milan but he seems to have chosen the red and black of the Diavolo.
“We’re there now,” the agent of the 28-year-old Colombian striker, Luiz Henrique Pompeo, told Calciomercato.com. “We are very close to concluding a deal with Milan and there’s a very good chance it will be finalized. We hope to give the announcement tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.
“He’d make up a dream partnership with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.” The arrival of Martinez, which now seems likely, doesn’t of course exclude a move for Ibra and updates are expected in the next days.
