Milan will officially unveil their new 2015-16 home jersey to the world tonight as they face Roma at the San Siro tonight.

Plenty of designs have been leaked in the past few months, and it appears that the vast majority were not wide of the mark in predicting the the traditional crest would not re-appear on the new shirt.

It marks the second year in a row in which Milan will use the city coat of arms as opposed to the oval Milan logo, something which has prompted speculation of a potential modernisation currently taking place of the badge.

A nod to the English founder of the club, Herbert Kilpin, the St. George Cross style logo matches the first jersey that Milan wore back in 1899, as well as the commemorative centenary jersey in the 1999-2000 season.

As for the rest of the shirt, Adidas have ditched the two-tone red design, opting for a simpler red-and-black striped design that has been commonplace over the history of Milan jerseys.

As is the template with all Adidas shirts, the three stripes on the shoulders are present, adopting a steely grey colour as opposed to the white of the current jersey.

A horizontal black stripe runs across the bottom of the shirt acting as almost a black trim, while “AC MILAN” will appear on the top of the neck at the back.

Fly Emirates are once again the shirt sponsors, in the 5th year of a deal lasting a decade that will see them be the primary sponsor of Milan kits. Their logo appears in white in the usual place.

The numbering for the jersey remains to be seen yet, but it likely wont be too different (if at all) from the current numbering style.

The shorts may revert to being black, with three grey stripes running down the sides, matching the shoulders of the shirt, and the socks will have a similar design.

There is a chance for tonight that the team may wear the white shorts from this season, but that we will have to wait to find out.

Another stylish and innovative effort from Adidas; a nod to the past with a clean and simple look.

I like this one better. The more black in it the better. And black shorts all the way.

But just scrap that cross thing and bring back the Milan logo.
