Baselli: “Milan? I signed nothing and have no agreement with anybody”

Daniele Baselli is unaware of any pre-agreement with Milan for the summer transfer market.

Milan tried to sign Baselli on deadline day but couldn’t reach an agreement for January. Instead the two sides agreed to talk again in the summer and many believe that Adriano Galliani has already ‘blocked’ Baselli for then and the midfielder will be joining the red & blacks.

However, the player, who fits right in the category of young and Italians that Silvio Berlusconi spoke of yesterday (he has 9 caps with the Under 21 Italy national team), has claimed he doesn’t know about any kind of ‘moral’ obligation between Milan and Atalanta.

“I don’t know about any moral obligation. I signed nothing and have no agreement with anybody,” the 22-year-old is quoted as saying on Mediaset. “I don’t know if Milan have the edge over other sides right now. Many things can change over the next few months.”

Earlier this week Baselli spoke about the negotiations between Milan and Atalanta in January. “I’m happy to have stayed, and I hope to do very well in the coming months. It was a busy Monday [transfer deadline day], even I didn’t know what would happen.

“Milan? I struggled to even eat, I was a bit anxious, but in the end I was calm, even when I knew the deal was complicated. This is my home, and I’ll give my all for the next six months.”
