Adriano Galliani will sit with Udinese’s directors to speak about Niang, who’s also received an offer from Newcastle.
Milan signed Alessio Cerci from Atletico Madrid and are reported to be looking to sign another forward (a central striker) in the winter transfer market and Niang’s place on the squad could be sacrificed.
The Frenchman hasn’t been used often this season but finished 2014 with an assist to Giampaolo Pazzini in the 4-2 win over Real Madrid. Niang has managed to draw the attention of a number of clubs, most notably Udinese and Newcastle.
According to today’s La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Magpies have made an offer for Niang. Gazzetta also states that Udinese have officially asked for Niang and Galliani, upon returning from Rio de Janeiro (where he met Kia Joorabchian who represents Taarabt and Soldado among others), will meet Udinese. The Rossoneri have been linked with Muriel but Niang could join Udinese regardless.
Milan like Muriel but he seems more likely to be heading to Sampdoria as they acted first to sign him. Muriel’s arrival could free Stefano Okaka, who has been linked with Milan of late.

Maybe if we could hijack Muriels move I would be fine with this. Give Pazzini to Sampdoria to keep them happy. Niang makes a lot of mistakes on the field… I like him as a player regardless and perhaps only a loan with NO option to buy may be best though. He needs playing time, and we have too many attacking players.
Niang was never used in his true position, he’s a striker, not a winger. The only time I can remember him playing as a striker was that Barca away match, which we lost, and Niang missed a sitter hitting the post. He was never given a chance…
Considering how many chances he has had and wasted… he’s not a very good striker. I think he’s a better winger. And he has had plenty of chances. First season with us and he played like 30 games in total. One goal. Tons of wasted chances.
Niang needs to stay.He should be a substitute to Cerci as Honda is out at the moment.

Torres is gone, and Pazzini is going to go to Parma this winter. So I think we should get a new striker.
Based off of our budget, here are 5 suggestions:
1. Giovinco, who’s contract ends this summer at Juve
2. Luiz Adriano, who’s contract ends this summer at Shaktar (he is champions League top scorer right now)
3. Okaka, Who’s contract ends this summer at Sampdoria
4. Jonas, terminated contract with Valencia
5. Destro, 15 m on Destro could sign him
You forgot Chicharito… Who is better than most of those named.
Chicharito is a fast striker but I suggest Milan to sign a player who can play in many roles like Izco. Truly an investment for Milan.
In case Milan had a clear starting striker, then investing in a jack-of-all-trades -type of player would be smart. Right now tho, we need a striker, who is a striker by nature, plays like a striker, and scores some goddamn goals like a striker.
Jonas signed a two contract with Benfica. He’s out of the picture. I never understood why Valencia let him go… contract dispute I guess. Luiz Adriano would easily be millions even if his contract ends. Okaka isn’t a prolific scorer by any means, but is a good option. Destro… Roma are demanding 20 million. Niang shot himself in the leg by his earlier unprofessional behaviours off pitch. He’s a talented youngster and must realise that time is running out on him. I hope he gets a chance elsewhere to fully express himself and gets developed better because that chance would bever come for him at Milan.
We don’t know that. Young players do have chances at Milan. They just need to work hard. Niang had quite a few chances, but was very wasteful when he had the ball. He just needs to be loaned out.
I don’t see chica working out here. He is tiny and wud most likely get bullied a lot. Also. There is not much space in serie a defences so I don’t see how he wud thrive
Chicharito isn’t tiny even though his name might suggest that. And he is a powerful striker that can terrorize any defense. Who do we sign? Destro? Okaka? Meh.
