Marcelo Brozovic is a target of Milan (although not a priority at the moment) and there are rumours Van Ginkel could head back to Chelsea.
Milan are looking to finish in the top three at the end of the season and after securing Alessio Cerci, who will arrive to Milano on Thursday, they are also linked with moves for strikers and midfielders.
As reported yesterday on the website of Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, the Diavolo made a €6.5-7 million bid for Marcelo Brozovic, the 22-year-old Croatia international, but Dinamo Zagreb rejected the offer, insisting they want €10m.
Arsenal (also have a rejected bid) and Everton are also interested in Brozovic and are in talks with Zagreb but Tuttosport claims Milan insist on the midfielder and will keep trying to sign him in the January transfer market and will contact Zagreb again (they made the offer about 10 days ago).
The same Turin-based newspaper brings up the possibility that Milan will send Van Ginkel back to Chelsea. The Dutchman arrived on loan in the summer but spent most of the time so far injured.
We just need to come up with three million more euros. Sell another player… I don’t know… Maybe Pazzini to Sampdoria for around 3-4 million.
Van Ginkel never had enough fitness. With Chelsea he was injured all the time too.
Brozovic is a world class potential, a complete midfielder, but not yet on a top level, he still needs time to grow and develop, which means he needs 1st team football, and he’s not going to get it at Milan.
He’s 22. I think he’s developed enough to get time at Milan, considering two of our midfielders (Essien and Muntari) have contracts expiring.
Muntari’s contract was extended this summer and runs to 2016, if i’m not mistaken. De Jong’s on the other hand has not been, as far as i know, so Essien and De Jong are the midfielders on expiring contracts, unless Galliani does something. In the case of Essien I hope he does nothing and frees up the space for a younger player, such as Brozovic, but losing De Jong would be a huge blow.
You’re right. Well Muntari seems to be left more and more out of the picture even though his contract is until 2016, especially when Montolivo returned. I think De Jong and Abate are the ones we need to renew. But De Jong hasn’t been performing that greatly lately. His performances have been good at best. Essien has put in several good performances, but his wage is too high and he should leave.
For me, renewing Abate’s contract should be priority number 1. Then De Jong.
Abate has been with us for over 15 years, I have no doubt he will eventually resign. De Jong, imo, should be priority #1 if we are to try and make top 3 this season, and continue on into the future, he is simply too good to not resign
I think we will get brozovic. Galliani do not come up with $10m or $12m cause he is trying to save money. This is just my opinion
I’m from Croatia,so i have watched him numerous times. He is solid player, even more than that, but i’m not sure he is the improvement that we need. He is similar type of player as van ginkel or poli, maybe slightly better, but not enough to be sure that this 10mil can’t be spent better somwhere else. I believe we sholud buy a striker, maybe kramaric, or even a LB, before we even consider buying a MC.
IMO, we should get Brozovic and a striker. I still think Chicharito would be a great addition. A LB? Coentrao on loan!
I am also from Croatia, and I also think that Brozovic would not be an improvement in orur squad.. maybe it would be good buy at best when we could buy him for cca 5 mil, but 10 is waaaay to much for him.. and yes, Kramaric would be great for milan, striker in form, just what Millan needs at the moment… And he said thad he would like to play in serie a… For 10m euros, it is a bargin… But priority should be lb… Thats my opinion…

I say We should get chicharito, illaramendi and coentrao from real…they would add SO much to our squad. And I’m sure ancelotti would let them go to us (and man united for chicharito)
Illaramendi… that’s a tough one. Coentrao yes… but I was thinking more Khedira would leave since he’s close to the end of his contract. Real invested so much into Illaramendi…

Yeah, he is good, but in dinamo and in HNL (croatian league), he is not Milan material… He is IMO like badelj… Good career in some mid table club.. Milan needs CM in form, creative, cosistent, familiar with serie a, world clas player.. Someone who can come in january and fit into a team like he is playing for whole season.. Just to get to Cl spot… Maybe sneijder on loan until summer? I dont know what is is form ATM but he is a class player… Ad then, at the START of marketbuy some real CM for future..
He’s better defensivly than Badelj and physicly stronger and has better shot…Many Croatians have doubts about him but proved his worth in national games…I think he would be good acquisition for us because he’s technically better than rest of our midfield,cheap and is one for the future.

I think a fullback is more important. I do like Nastasic as a CB, but we have four other CBs (Mexes, Rami, Alex, Zapata) who start. And our two starting fullbacks (De Sciglio and Abate) are injured. Abate is close to returning, but who knows about De Sciglio… guy is in terrible form anyways.

Asier isn’t the answer. He is just a tall de Jong(not creative enuf). I dnt know about brozovic but people tell me he is not worth it also. I wud like a dembele , thiago , kovacic type player that can bail us out when monty is injured. Also someone who can make the team play better. We really should have kept cristante.
Also rite now, we have menez who Is doing well n pazzo as a backup so no immediate need for a striker. I wud reinforce the midfield first before thinking of a cb (nastasic or doria). Said it before and again but I really really would take ganso.
Pazzini should leave to Parma. And we can get Chicharito on loan. Will work out fine for us.
Cristante never had what it took to play for Milan. So overrated. Bertolacci is a better more mature player.
Seeing as Berlu doesn’t want to dip into any of that 9 billion he’s got hanging around, my choices would be Coentrao for defence, Perotti for midfield and Okaka up front.
we need a CF, a CM and an LB. My options would be Chicharito whom we can get for less than 10mil, since his contract expires in June and is a more realistic target. On LB we can go for Antonelli, i am sure he cannot be that expensive or exchange him with Armero. On CM its a bit tricky though, we can either sell de jong and then we buy illaramendi or get schineider on loan.
My probelm with chicarito is his physique. He would be destroyed in serie a. Illaramendi also isn’t creative as I feel ndj is better. @giancarlo cristante did have the tools. He wasn’t given a decent chance. 3 league games with a gol and an assist is promising. For strikers I would not mind mitriglou. We could get him on loan from fulham easy and he is quite powerful.
You are kidding right? He is a strong fast striker. Inzaghi wasn’t strong… Neither is Giovinco. Chicharito would excel in Italy because he is a fast strong striker that erodes defenses.
I feel once we sort out mf problems, our defence would look better. Our inability to retain possession or even string 3 passes together puts our defence on unnecessary pressure. Fix the mf, df works out

No he never had what it took. And he looked weak defensively. He was a yellow or red card waiting to happen. And he left because he didn’t want to fight for his spot. I don’t want a player like that around. Bonaventura fought for his spot and earned it.
