ALEXANDRE PATO has said going back to Brazil was best for his career and claimed Barbara had nothing to do with his failed PSG move.
Pato spent over five years at Milan before being sold to Corinthians. One of the best memories from the Brazilian are from when he scored two goals against Inter in the Derby della Madonnina in 2011 as Milan would go on to win the Scudetto.
“What I think about the derby? It’s the best match in Serie A. Who wouldn’t want to play it?” Pato, 25-years-old, told il Corriere della Sera.
“I’m very attached to Milan, to whom I owe my professional development. In Milan I won the Scudetto and the Italian Super Cup and then I played 150 matches and scored 63 goals. Milan will always have all of my love. The derby I remember the most? That of April 2nd, 2011. I returned from injury, started and scored two goals. We won 3-0. Fantastic.
“If the fact that Inzaghi coaches is a surprise? it was his dream to drive Milan, he became an idol with the Rossoneri. If it saddens me to see my former team in 7th place? There are 27 more matches and they will turn the tables and at the end of the league they will be again in the positions to which they’re accustomed.

“The troubles of the muscle are behind me? I haven’t well received at Sao Paolo. Then Kaka came here and above all I’ve had no ideas. I can only thank the doctors for their great work. I pointed the finger at the medical staff of Milan even though I was tested by the best specialists? I’m not a doctor and I would be foolhardy to make charges. I limit myself to the facts: each treatment to which I was subjected didn’t work. Only in Brazil the doctors were able to get me up quietly & completely.
“If it was tough to lose the label of a ‘broken player’? I asked myself a thousand questions and I looked for explanations. I kept asking what was going on and if I was the problem. Let’s say that my self-esteem suffered.
“If my relationship with Barbara Berlusconi caused problems or embarrassment in the dressing room? I’ve always kept my personal and professional life separate. That was my private life. I’ve always been a professional and I looked after my responsibilities. Barbara in charge of Milan? I’m sure that she will do great things for the club.

“People are convinced that it was Barbara who blocked my move to PSG in January 2012? It’s not true. It was President Berlusconi. The same President who bought me to Milan and with whom I’m still in touch. If in hindsight it would’ve been better for my career to move to Paris 2 years ago? No. The best choice for me was to go back to Brazil because it’s where I healed. My obsession was recovering from the muscular injuries. If I won’t be tempted to return to European football when the market reopens? I’m on loan at Sao Paolo until the end of 2015 but I do miss Italy and the friends that I left there.
“If I would struggle accepting an offer from a rival of Milan? There are rumours (about interest from Fiorentina, Napoli and Inter), and I’m focused on Sao Paolo but I’m a professional. Let’s see what happens, right?
Nice one from Pato. I love you and Milan missed you. I wouldn’t mind seeing you back in Milan colour.
Barbera destroyed this boys career”never miss business with pleasure” I hope he have learnt a lesson
If pato had never gotten those injuries, i am almost certain that pato would be the best in the world and we wouldnt have most of the problems we had over the years.
I can`t never forget the goal against barcelona, i wish he never had those injuries
