Van Ginkel and Albertazzi return to training with the group

Milan in training today in Milanello (

MARCO VAN GINKEL and Michelangelo Albertazzi trained with the rest of the Milan players today while Jeremy Menez didn’t.

After having Ignazio Abate, Giacomo Bonaventura, Riccardo Saponara and Diego Lopez completing a full training session two days ago, coach Filippo Inzaghi’s group of players welcomed back Marco Van Ginkel and Michelangelo Albertazzi on Thursday, three days before the game against Hellas Verona.

Training today started at 15:00 and after a warm-up which included a jog and some exercises for the lower limbs, there was a big focus on tactics. Inzaghi divided the squad into groups with defensive drills tested on the lower pitch by one group while the second group worked on offensive moves on the raised pitch.

The players then worked together with their work focusing on tactics across the entire pitch. As reported on, Bonaventura, Diego Lopez, Albertazzi and Van Ginkel completed the entire session today while Jeremy Menez worked on his fitness programme (remains a doubt for Hellas) and Cristian Zapata and Pablo Armero did a light session in the gym.

Probable formation for Sunday at the moment: Diego Lopez; Ignazio Abate, Alex, Adil Rami, Mattia De Sciglio; Andrea Poli, Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari; Keisuke Honda, Fernando Torres, Stephan El Shaarawy.

Inzaghi should not start with 3 defensive midfielders at once,Bonaventura should replace Poli and then introduce MVG for Muntari and Poli for Bonaventura in the 2nd half hopefully before then we will be on a great advantage in the match though it will be tough considering we are playing away to H.Verona.Rami and Alex should keep a close eye on Luca Toni in the air as he’s too dangerous in the air as his tallness will be a threat for us.Hopefully Diego Lopez will manage a clean sheet and we go home victoriously.
