IGNAZIO ABATE is back in group training along with Riccardo Saponara, Diego Lopez and Giacomo Bonaventura, Milan confirmed today.
Coach Filippo Inzaghi received encouraging news today as he welcomed back 4 of his players ahead of the important match with Hellas Verona Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Sunday.
Milan had two training sessions today. After warm up, Inzaghi split the squad into 2 groups in the morning training. The first group consisted of Rami, Bonera, Niang, Bonaventura, Essien, Abate & Zaccardo and they worked on some technical-tactical drills. The second group consisted of Muntari, Torres, El Shaarawy, Pazzini, Saponara and Mastour and they did strength exercises with the use of obstacles and running with weights. Diego Lopez worked with coach Magni on the lower pitch along with Abbiati and Agazzi.
The four completed the entire morning session with the squad. The afternoon session, as reported on Milan’s website, began with a warm up and that was followed by tactical drills over half a pitch and with the use of the metal mannequins. While the rest of the players carried out an attack versus defence exercise, Jack worked on his personalized programme.
Before the afternoon training, Van Ginkel (likely to return against Fiorentina) and Albertazzi did some running drills. It remains to be seen if Bonaventura, Abate, Saponara and Lopez will all be included in the squad for Hellas.
