DIDIER DESCHAMPS believes that Menez only needs trust and then if he wants to – Jeremy can make the difference every time he plays.
Menez has said that his personal objectives for the season are scoring over 10 goals and returning to the France squad ahead of the 2016 Euro’s and the 27-year-old is on a mission to impress Les Bleus boss Didier Deschamps.
“If I saw the back-heel goal of Menez? I don’t need to look at certain things that I already know,” Deschamps, a former player of Juventus, told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “It doesn’t mean that I don’t follow him because I follow all the players that may be useful for the national team. But he has always had those skills and if he wants he can make a difference in any game. I am sure that a goal will make him feel better.
“Menez’s false 9 role? At the age of 17 he did just that at Sochaux. I don’t know if that’s the role for him. Jeremy is coming back from 6 months of difficulties and needs to find his confidence, play in games and get the rhythm of the game. Milan is a team that, on paper, can give him all of these things. Saturday? I can’t watch all of the Italian league but I don’t think I’m going to miss Milan-Juventus.” The former defensive midfielder played 173 times with the black & white’s, scoring 4 goals.
Deschamps will obviously hope to see the Old Lady taking all of the three points from San Siro tomorrow. Milan have as many as four French players and they will all look to impress Didier over the course of the season to get a call-up.

It wasn’t only the back-heel goal, he just had an amazing game overall. I hope Deschamps realizes that.
For example: that long ball to Abate which which led to a goal was epic.
