FERNANDO TORRES’ Milan debut will have to wait as the medical team didn’t manage to get him fit for tonight; he’ll undergo further tests.

The official line-ups came out for the game between Milan and Parma and to the surprise of many, Fernando Torres was not included in the starting XI and wasn’t on the list of players to sit on the bench either – he’ll be in the stands.

The reason for Torres’ absence is an injury. It’s reported that yesterday Torres had a collision in training with Adil Rami and the new signing from Chelsea sprained his left ankle. Milan Channel claims that the medical team of the Rossoneri tried to make the player fit enough to sit on the bench but they were unsuccessful so El Nino is forced to watch the team from the side for the second Serie A week in a row – after watching them beat Lazio at San Siro 2 weeks ago.

Torres will undergo further tests on Monday to determine the extent of his injury but a first report indicates that it isn’t serious. Instead of Torres, you can find Giacomo Bonaventura on the field and it will be the 100th game of the signing from Atalanta. He’ll play on the left wing (El Shaarawy is also injured) with Jeremy Menez playing as a false 9.
