DIEGO LOPEZ believes that Filippo Inzaghi is a great motivator and that Milan can fight with the big sides this year.
Milan will get back to the pitch on Sunday when they face Parma at Stadio Ennio Tardini and it will be the first away match in Italy in Diego Lopez’s career. His debut Milan match went very well as he managed to save a last minute Lazio penalty.
The Rossoneri managed to get Lopez from Real Madrid and the keeper impressed right away. Lopez is now looking forward to the future but insists Milan must take things one game at a time and reveals he accepted a Milan move instantly.
Di Marzio: “Suso agreed Milan move, will join in January or June”
Albertazzi: “Parma a very good team, Torres is fired up”
“The victory against Lazio? I was very happy to save the penalty but it was more important to win the game. However that moment gave me a lot of confidence. It was important to start well and take all three points,” Lopez, who played 62 games with the shirt of Real Madrid in 2012/13 and 2013/2014, said in an interview with the Milan Channel on Wednesday noon.
“The first day at Milan? There are similarities between Milan and Real Madrid. They are two great clubs, very important worldwide, they have a great corporate organization and infrastructure like stadium, headquarters and training centers. Bit by bit I am starting to settle down with the rest of my teammates and getting to know the city. I hope to continue like this in the future and that everything will be positive. The summer switch to Milan? In Madrid there were special circumstances.
“When the chance to move to Milan came up I took it without hesitation because Milan has so much history as a club despite what has happened in the last few years. I have a lot of confidence in this team. I know that we’ll be able to recover what we lost last year and also that the club will continue to maintain the strength and importance the club has always had. We will try to give everything and the squad and I will try to take the club back to where they belong. Coach Carlo Ancelotti and Villiam Vecchi both spoke so highly of this club and everything they told me has been backed up after my arrival.
“I cannot lie and say that there is anything wrong with what they have told me. I want to thank them too, for me being here. My new goalkeeping coach? The goalkeeping coach here at Milan, Alfredo Magni, plays close attention to detail and we work very well. I’m pleased to be working with him. The defense? I get on very well with the defenders here but it is important to defend as a team and then also attack as a team,” continued the former Sevilla and Villarreal Spanish goalie.
“Fernando Torres? He is a very important signing for Milan. He has done some important things in his career. He is an important player, with experience, he is quick and is very strong. He’ll score a lot of goals. The differences between Torres and Balotelli? Torres will be more useful than Balotelli for Milan. He’s the right characteristics to do well in a team like this.
“Torres has already won in the past and he has great experience. Milan’s objectives? We can fight with the bigger teams. We need to keep doing well, step by step. We are working well with the coach, we are training in a humble manner and slowly we can get better if we only think about one game at a time and taking the three points starting with the Parma game.

“It is very important for us to do well against Parma but we know it’ll not be easy. We’ve to play our game. I’m not thinking about the match with Juventus against my countrymen Llorente and Morata for now. The only thing I have on my mind is today’s training, that is the only way to be. I have been very impressed with things at Milanello, everything is so organized and Milanello really is amazing. I like the people that work here, Milan and the president really have built a family here.
“Coach Filippo Inzaghi? He has just started coaching but you can already see from the details that he is a great coach. People recognize themselves in him and he has the attitude to be great. He’s a real motivator. The people are behind him both from a professional point of view as well as a personal point of view because he is calm and gives you confidence.
“I’m really happy from the professional and technical standpoint. The fans continue to cheer and say that we can finish in top places, fighting for something. Italian language? I want to wait a little longer before I speak Italian in front of the cameras, but by now I understand everything,” said Lopez and also added, like many players after a MC interview: “Forza Milan!”
Lopez will of course play from the start against Parma and it’s possible that his former La Roja teammate Torres will also be given a starting spot. Training resumed at Milanello yesterday and the fans are waiting to see the team in action again.

I have to admit I wasn’t entirely sure about pippo as a coach at the start but I really think we have a gem on our hands with him as every player can’t speak highly enough of him as a manager and as a man or even a friend, he also bleeds our colours and is a rossoneri through and through
FORZA MILAN
Same thing was said bout Clarrence Seedorf.
I wish it was Pippo and Seedorf.
Its been reported that Pablo Armero have not convinced Inzaghi,Milan will be looking to buy a LB in January. The names on the list are Ivan Strinic 27,Marcell Jansen 27,Jetro Willems 20,Domenico Criscito.
SOME GOOD NEWS-Aturo Vidal is out for 20 days,he will certainly miss the 3rd round match against Juventus at home including the likes of Pirlo,Chiellini,Barzagli.Allegri Effect.
Tuttosport reports that Biabiany,Cassano and Palleta are in doubt to play against Milan on Sunday.
You’ve been speaking very highly of Omeruo, watched full 90 minutes of South Africa Vs Nigeria and I was wowed by his performance. The guy is just perfect, couldn’t figure out a single mistake he made all game, just needs to work on his passes. If only Milan could sign him and let go of Mexes, that will be awesome and yes we need a solid Left Back.
Must someone bring up Seedorf’s case, let it go already
Hope its true @lumen
Draw js objective result against parma..win is a bonus..forza pippo
I’m a Nigerian and Kenneth Omeruo is a very solid guy,he kept Suarez and Cavani at bay in Brazil during the Confederations Cup.He justneeds to work more on his passing,he’s very strong in the air, aggresive and agile. You hardly beat him on one on one,he’s got pace.He will be a good replacement for Mexes as he’s 20years old.But the problem is WILL mourinho let him go?He’s currently on loan at Middlesbrough English Division 2 and has a £ years contract at Chelsea.
Oh I see.. Then it means Chelsea have got themselves one hell of a defender for many years. IMHO, I think this guys is ahead of Thiago Silva, he actually doesn’t depend on the other defenders, almost does everything himself. Solid player I must say. Not sure if Milan have scouts in Africa.
Am a nigerian too. Omeru is good and would fit italian team. But not sure how far he could go. But what most important really is his passing sometime is poor. Hope he will work hard on that. Follow me on twitter @yohumblehost let talk more bout milan. I follow back too. #forzamilan #forzapippo
