FERNANDO TORRES and Giacomo Bonaventura were on target as the first team beat a side consisting of Primavera and Berretti players 5-0 in a training match today at the Milanello.

This is an international break weekend and leagues will only resume next week but Filippo Inzaghi still wanted the lads to play and today there was a training match between a side consisting mainly of players from the first team and a side consisting mainly of players from the Primavera and Berretti squads (Bonera, Alex, Zaccardo and M’Baye Niang helped that team).

Inzaghi fielded an XI with a 4-3-3 formation – Michael Agazzi played a goal while Ignazio Abate, Adil Rami, Philippe Mexes and Michelangelo Albertazzi played in defense, Primavera’s Giovanni Crociata and Sebastian Ruiz Gamarra were joined by Riccardo Saponara in midfield, and Jeremy Menez, Fernando Torres and Giacomo Bonaventura played in Pippo’s attack.El Shaarawy on Inzaghi, Milan, his critics, and more…
Berlusconi: “The atmosphere has changed, Milan on track”

The first half ended 2-0 thanks to a brace from Saponara with the assists coming from Torres and Bonaventura. In the second half the two new comers got on the scoresheet themselves and managed to beat the defense and goalkeeper of the Primavera/Berretti side. M’Baye Niang switched sides in the second half and scored a goal of his own to make it 5-0.

Milan continue to work in full speed ahead of the second Matchday as they visit Parma at Ennio Tardini. Torres and Jack, who already scored a few goals in training this week, will hope to be in the starting XI and impress in a real match.
