MILAN FINISHED the 2014 edition of the Trofeo TIM in first place after beating both Juventus and Sassuolo in 45-minute long matches at the Mapei Stadium. The Rossoneri played very well against Sassuolo and already after 7 minutes Jeremy Menez found the net from the penalty spot: Milan earned this rather soft pk after a Menez ball (followed by a nice run) hit the hand of a Sassuolo defender. In the 19′ minute, Keisuke Honda found Stephan El Shaarawy with a great ball and the Italian ran very well and finished calmly to make it 2-0. Milan had more chances to score and were in complete control. Filippo Inzaghi lifts the Trofeo TIM just 8 days before the Serie A opener against Lazio at San Siro.

Good performance in this tournament especially for Honda, Menez, El Shaarawy, De Sciglio…also Muntari…but keep improve…it’s only pre-season….we should keep focus on getting additional players….
Poli also impressed me a lot, I think he deserves to start.
Against Juve, i think Poli was the MOM. He tackled, dribbled, and lost only one ball. He’ll have a great impact in our midfield, if he continues to play in this form. Honda played good football too, not only because he scored against Juve. He had vision in passes. Look at his pass for example at El Shaarawy’s goal. Borini is a decent striker he was linked to milan a couple of days ago, I think he’ll be better option than Destro…cost less as well he has a fantastic workrate.

I’m glad that balotelli left milan. We are not focusing on one player now, we are having more speed, even still need improvement on passing and shooting.
Taarabt should return to milan, because he is good at passing and shooting. his weakness is just he like to hold the ball for too long.
Taarabt, destro, and maybe rabiot (I never saw him play so I’m unsure) should be brought in. I still think we can do better on defensive formations, maybe we need a specialist there too.

Honda and Essien both had great games, actually Honda was a amazing and finally looked comfortable. One huge thing I noticed is our counter attacks greatly improved and our set pieces were set up very well both for attack and defence. I hope we get some morale on this because to be honest, I think that’s the best we’ve played in two years. Everyoneworked hard and we looked like a team out there. In my opinion we should try to buy a fast winger, a fast midfielder and taarabt as backup, because we were very dangerous and created many chances when we played fast!!

Offsider, just because we won this fake competition it does not mean the same problems arnt there. If anything it sadly shows us how bad the italian league has become. Juventus arnt in the best form, im down in australia and they only just beat our leagues all stars 3-2…our league is ranked 100th in the world! Also you would expect to beat sassuolo. Good job anyway lads but im no where near happy yet.

I’d give Abate time, i bet Inzaghi will improve his crosses. I can rely our attacking system to Pippo. But i agree, if everybody is healthy, now it seems that De Sciglio and Armero should start. But Iggy is a good backup if anybody got injured, or banned. In fact, i’d sell Zaccardo and Bonera, because even Albertazzi and Zapata can play better fullback than them. So i don’t see any reason keeping them. For CB’s there are Alex, Rami, Zapata (Mexes if he stays) too, and De Sciglio an De Jong played CB earlier on high level.
Lol at jo and fred. I agree with damiao, i havent seen him in years but i remember seeing some compilation of him and the guy had/has some serious skills. I rekon sell abate only if there is a solid offer, i still think he has something to offer. His crosses have improved imo.
