Report: Campbell open to Italy move, Milan consider Pandev

MILAN HAD a ‘positive’ meeting with the agent of Joel Campbell yesterday but also contacted Napoli for Goran Pandev.

The 2014 Guinness International Champions Cup has proven to Milan that they still have a lot of work to do before the start of the new season and that they also need reinforcements if they are to fight for a Top 3 spot in the 2014/15 term.

It’s a well-known fact that Filippo Inzaghi wants a left-footed right winger and a few players are under observation. Yesterday Milan stepped up their interest in Arsenal’s Joel Campbell as they met with his representatives for talks in London.

Niang: “Milan grew against Liverpool, I want to stay here”

Milan sent director of sport Rocco Maiorino and head of scouting department Salvatore Monaco to watch Campbell in the Emirates Cup, where he impressed – scoring a goal and assisting one against Benfica & according to Sky’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Maiorino and Monaco set down for a meeting with Campbell’s agent and the journalist reports that it was ‘positive’.

It’s said that Campbell is open to arriving to Italy and be a key part of Inzaghi’s project at Milan. Di Marzio believes that in the next days, the Milan duo will meet boss Arsene Wenger to discuss Campbell. But Wenger has already made it clear that the Costa Rican will stay at club: “Joel Campbell has done very well. I like the way he plays, he’s good on the ball, creative and collectively as well he has a good balance between individual skill and collective attitude – that’s not easy to find.

“Campbell (and Yaya Sanogo) need to play of course but they need to play here. There’s no reason to let Campbell go. I want to keep him.” Milan are looking into the option of taking the player on loan (with a buy-out clause perhaps) but it will be tough considering Wenger’s desire to keep him. Unal Aysal, the Galatasaray President admitted that “I want Joel for my team but Wenger wants to keep him in his team and benefit from him. Nothing happens, Wenger won’t allow this move.”

Campbell tweeted today that he is ‘proud to be a Gunner’. Milan also have Torino’s Alessio Cerci and Paris Saint-Germain’s Ezequiel Lavezzi shortlisted but they are both very expensive options. According to Di Marzio, yesterday there was contact between Milan & Napoli and they spoke about Goran Pandev. The 31-year-old is left-footed, like Inzaghi wants.

Napoli are ready to offload Pandev and there is also a possibility of a larger deal with Napoli involving Blerim Dzemaili. Milan Channel however, reports that Pandev has been offered to Milan (not from Napoli) but he’s not an option right now.

Pandev… Someone explain how’s this reinforcement?

Easy. Weve eared some money so now we can buy another Matri

If Milan sign Pandev I’m going to throw up. Balders, here’s what you need to do:
1. Sign Taraabt who is cheaper than Lavezzi / Campbell / Cerci and yet probably just as effective.
2. Stop chasing garbage like Pandev / Nani and focus on DEFENCE, MIDFIELD and a GOAL KEEPER.
3. Hand over job to someone with a brain.

Agree with everything but Campbell… He is young and very talented

lol. He’s not leaving Arsenal

reinforcements indeed

Milanisti since 98

For Milan sake just persuade wenger to sell campbell. Arsenal got alexis, walcot, chamberlain, podolski already. No way campbell can always be in starting line up if he stays. Every winning club always get the players they want, why we can’t?

Alex The Mauler (SWE)

Simple because we are not a winning club anymore

Pandev? More than 70 goals for Napoli,Inter and Lazio…more than 30 asist…four italian cups,Italian Shampionship,Europian cup of champions..World teams cup….yea…Pandev is nobody…he has more than Robinho,Taarabt,El Sharaway,Niang ,Pazzini Cerchi and Honda together !!!!

Pazzini has 111 goals on his own in SA so shut up and get real facts first…

well with campbell we would fill the RW really good (he is creative so he will complement balo and sha) but we still need a LB so de sciglio can play his natural position and a GK because we have one baby joke (gabriel), a joke (agazzi) and abbiati is too old

Some Guy

We need a center mid. Recently our midfield has been garbage, and the amount of space left in the midfield has led to most of the goals we concede. At the moment, we don’t have Nigel, and that is a big reason for it, but we need backup for if he gets injured, someone better than Essien. Cristante could replace Montolivo for the time that he’s injured, but I want someone better than Muntari, Saponara and Poli starting next to him and De Jong.

actually de sciglio said he prefers the lb over the rb in an interview at the end of the previous season…

Please hire me instead of Galliani, please.

Sadly we just keep falling deeper into a hole ~

uslar ses

hahaha another garbage on the way….millan wil end up having pandev as replacement for robinho since he is a left footed player and he is a free player…mr fester plz I beg u in ALLAH name if u re not going to retire plz sign cerci or campbell for us…sell abate nd sign deminico of zenit, sell essien to any team, give saponara, cristante, niang and mastour chance to shine.this kids really have somthing to give…FORZA MILAN

If i could some how bewitch galliani these are the things im going to.
Terminate: essien, muntaris contract.ask Bonera to find a club.
deal to bring kucka in xachange of albetrazzi.
Buy: Clément Grenier,
loan in :paolo desciglie.
and now we are set to go for serie A top 5.
by next term all our rookies would be good to go for top 3 plus some added reinforments would secure us that much craved champions league spot.but before that our team should entertain us with what its got then only one could expects fans to support milan through the year.

Milan fan

Pandev is Pele for wannabe gangster Baloteli.

how come galliani dont have a price on his head?

Only a very naive or too stupid person believes that this guy(Campbell) comes to Milan.

Best mercato is Galliani leaving Milan even if Milan don’t sign any player again this summer.

The real report about this from the admins of the facebook page ”MILAN FANS”,it reported that Napoli offered Pandev to Milan but Milan management aren’t interested.

@ alex it seems you are from macidonia for u to have defend pandev that much……still waiting till d deadline day..Forza milan

Pandev? Why the hell do we need him? Oh that’s right to fund Napoli’s Fellaini move. Just like we funded Tevez buying Matri. We need Perin, 1 of Darmian/Criscito, Rabiot, 1 of Cerci/Lamela MINIMUM. Without these guys we can forget top 5.

Forza Milan

Milan could have brought manuel lanzini from river plate instead of buying pandev for nearly the same price tag.

Doria has been offered to Lazio for €7.5m,and they have also signed De Vrij.

Forza Milan, we need someone who can attack from midfield like Xavi/Iniesta or any profesnal player terminate Essien to leave plz complet Tarabt and release Robino to leave and replace him with Isco, we still need exprence goalkeeper we can Diego Lopez/Share Givin/any good Keeper and we need focus for this new season Forza Milan.

you are dreamer if u think we can get isco… We are tgrash right now and searching for thrash only… lika Pandev

Pandev isn’t what Milan need for now..Pls let’s go for a left wing defender, attacking midfielder, a good goal keeper and we will be ready for the start of the league. Is Gilliani sleeping or what?
