Highlights: Atalanta 2-1 Milan

10

MILAN LOST at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia against Atalanta on Sunday noon. There were plenty of shots for each side in the first half but just a few of them actually went on target. Milan allowed Atalanta space to attack and didn’t hold the midfield tight enough resulting in chances and possession for the home side. The visitors also had their moments with chances from free kicks and through headers but couldn’t find the net. In the second half the goals came. Stephan El Shaarawy who came off the bench during the half time break, replacing the ineffective Keisuke Honda, got the ball to Riccardo Montolivo who passed it to Sulley Muntari who ran a bit before crossing; Muntari’s cross was supposed to meet Mario Balotelli but instead it hit Gianpaolo Bellini who scored an own goal to give Milan the lead (51′). The advantage lasted just 17 minutes as Kevin Constant committed a foul in the box and German Denis made it level from 11 meters. Balo managed to hit the crossbar twice in this match but Atalanta had the last laugh as Franco Brienza scored an absolute stunner in the 95′ minute and won the game. There was also an incident with racist Atalanta fans throwing bananas at the Milan players. The Europa League objective, however, is still alive as Torino and Parma only.

Atalanta: Consigli; Raimondi, Benalouane, Bellini, Brivio; Baselli (74′ Migliaccio), Cigarini, Carmona; Moralez (88′ Brienza), Bonaventura (68′ De Luca); Denis. Unused: Sportiello, Frezzolini, Caldara, Scaloni, Del Grosso, Nica, Giorgi, Kone, Bentancourt. Coach: Colantuono.

If Seedorf leaves, then I want Donadoni from Parma.

Darko

What has Donadoni achieved in 15 years coaching apart from being mediocre with mediocre teams???

Pasha

This will prob get I liked but I don’t think we need Europa league next season we need to focus on getting cl back and need our team to be fresh. I know some will say they will play youth in Europa league but let’s face the truth…they won’t they will play starter players who will then be tired when it comes to serie a games

Milanbeast

now what berlusconi will do is fire seedorf for getting results, even though he’s the one who wont splash the cash for a champions league side

Mos B

There is still hope for milan to qualify for europa but only if torino, parma, verona loses respectively…. I pray seedorf doesnt get sacked

Donadoni or Inzaghi!!

I’m baffled by some of the comments in the previous 2 posts, especially comments about Mario and Constant. Here is how I viewed the match. DEFENCE: -MDS-began slow, made a few mistakes, got stronger as the match progressed. -Mexes-was actually solid today. -Rami-made 1 or 2 mistakes, but was solid overall. -Constant-the criticisms of him today are unfair. Up until the penalty I was surprised at how well he was defending. It was a foul however, but it was incidental contact rather than him being beaten by his man, it was a forgiveable mistake. MIDFIELD: -NDJ-solid as usual. -Muntari- should… Read more »

Atalanta can score…and we can’t
This team sucks really bad
At least 60% of the team should leave im sick of this situation, seeing Milan that low give me the chills.

Galliani shouls also leave that guy’s a cancer really

I just wanna say that i liked Milan who played 4-2-2 the formation in first half was awfull and it reminded me of Allegri squad i hope that fans who claimed that 4-3-2-1 or 4-3-1-2 is ”perfect for this Milan” saw that formation is really bad and old and every team can strech them and defend easily against them.I think in next gamewe sholud go with:
abate—rami—mexes—de sciglio
montolivo—-de jong
taarabt—————el sharaawy
ballotelli-pazzini

Europa will even create more problems for milan since those 2 boys are unwilling to buy quality players
