MARCO NOSOTTI has discussed Milan’s plans for next season and said 13 players are almost certain to stay.
Milan have done well recently with coach Seedorf at helm and are looking to secure a place in next year’s Europa League but it’s clear that the squad will change in the summer and Marco Nosotti spoke on Wednesday about the squad’s future.
“Before we talk about the market we have to settle certain things: who will be the coach? Clarence Seedorf? Who will be in charge of the mercato? (Vice President and CEO Adriano) Galliani? And between those who will choose the players? Having said this, it must be said that that large investments will not be made,” said the Sky Sport Italia reporter, Nosotti.
“The certainties for next year are Balotelli, Kaka, Montolivo, De Jong, El Shaarawy, Zapata, Bonera, Abbiati, Poli, De Sciglio, Cristante, Petagna and Coppola. The total salary of them is €24.4 million net. In the category of players that are doubtful we have Abate, who can be a source of income. Pazzini may want to play more and the future of Muntari depends on who sits on the bench next season – same goes for Birsa and Emanuelson. Taarabt’s and Rami’s futures depend on the discount.
“Here’s the list of the doubtful: Pazzini, Abate, Muntari, Rami, Taarabt, Urby and Birsa. The total salary of them is €10.4 million net.” Obviously a lot can change, especially at Milan where certainties become doubts when the right offer arrives.
