ADRIANO GALLIANI has asked Allegri if he wants a new target man, but Max said no because of his faith in Petagna.
Balotelli’s injury against Galaxy got Milan worried (tests later showed that there is no damage to his calf and he has since been called-up to the national team along with Stephan El Shaarawy and Montolivo) and some names were suggested.
Milan were linked with some strikers on Saturday, with the media stating that Milan were holding talks with a number of clubs as they were looking for a forward on loan to be a back-up for Balotelli, but it seems Allegri doesn’t want anyone.
According to Sky Italia, Milan had considered the options of Marco Borriello or Claudio Pizarro on loan with even the name of Maxi Lopez mentioned in one of the papers. However, La Gazzetta dello Sport‘s mercato expert Carlo Laudisa reported on Saturday evening that coach Massimiliano Allegri has rejected all options as he has confidence in Andrea Petagna.
It’s said that Adriano Galliani consulted with Allegri regarding the situation in attack, as with Giampaolo Pazzini out until October, Milan’s only vice-Balo is Petagna but Allegri has decided to give a vote of confidence to the 18-year-old.
