ADRIANO GALLIANI has said he could meet CSKA to negotiate and confirmed Mexes-De Sciglio won’t miss UCL.
Milan have completed that fourth signing of the summer – Matias Silvestre (first three were Riccardo Saponara, who is injured and will not play any pre-season games, Jherson Vergara and Andrea Poli) but the main target hasn’t arrived yet.
Keisuke Honda has had his terms agreed for about a month now with Milan but CSKA Moscow are refusing to drop a dime off their requested €5 million, a price Milan deem too high. However, Galliani claims that progress has been made today.

“Steps forward for Honda? Maybe yes. A small step, it’s possible that we meet CSKA Moscow’s president in Munich, we could see him in Germany,” the Milan Vice President and CEO told Sky Sport 24 on Tuesday. Milan and Adriano will be Germany in the next two days for the Audi Cup in which they will face Manchester City and Bayern Munich or Sao Paulo.
Galliani added: “We were hoping to get back some of the injured players but that didn’t happen, we actually can’t count on them, tomorrow we will do our best regardless. We have an emergency lineup because Mexes and De Sciglio also injured themselves. They won’t miss CL playoffs but they won’t be available in Munich and the US, they will be out for a week. Zaccardo and Vergara? We only have them at center back, De Sciglio played a few games in middle but he isn’t available.
“Dinner with [Genoa’s President] Preziosi? I don’t like to use the term gift, we’ve always had a good relationship with the president.” Galliani also confirmed the success of the talks between Milan and Inter over center back Matias Silvestre.

The only good news is that Vergara will get to start, maybe he’ll take his chance and really impress. I don’t want to see Silvestre play, I don’t. I’d rather see Bonera play. He can prove me wrong, be my guest, but I do not like him. I’d rather have Granqvist, now that would be a good replacement, once and for all.

I know Honda’s contract expires in less then 5 months but why can’t they just pay the 5 million? I believe Milan will get more than 5 million on this guy shirt sells so it really isn’t a bad choice to get him for 5 million

Zapata isn’t called up for the Audi Cup, the only CB’s we have are Zaccardo and Vergara.

I think it’s too soon for him to join up the squad actually, so the only players we do have are Zaccardo and Vergara. Let’s hope they both prove themselves, especially Vergara, so Silvestre won’t see any playing time. And of course that Vergara can become the next big thing, De Sciglio did it for us as a full back, Varane did it at Madrid, let’s hope Vergara can do it for us this season!

It’s done and no amount of complain or displeasure can change it. All we do now is HOPE he returns to the player he used to be at Catania when Galliani wanted him for two seasons.

serie A is more competitive than ever teams like Napoli,Fiorentina,Juve,Roma and Inter has strengthened significantly while this Milan team is a minor improvement from the one of last season, so with the fierce competition in the league for next season, Allegri questionable tactics at times and this Milan team what we achieved last season seems vague for the upcoming season but i do wish this team the best and i still believe there is more to come in this market!!!
We are well covered in the defence. Mexes – zapata – verghara – bonera – zaccardo. Now tell me are these not top class? And maybe silvestre. Galliani knows better than us we all know that, then let us have patient and support our team rather than complaining every single day. Can somebody shout… FORZA MILAN!!!
This whole transfer saga is a real joke! Galliani is a joke-consistently buying under performing players like Silvestre.
and Allegri is blind to see that he needs to play El Sharaawy in the midfield similar to Hamsik instead of out wide as a striker.
Now that he is being force to play 4-3-1-2 or 4-4-2 then El Sharaawy must move to midfield in a role similar to Hamsik..that way we can play Balotelli and Pazzini together or two strikers.
With Honda, Montolivo, Poli and De jong we can bench useless Boateng and Robinho

The spot light is on honda but for me it is dreadful reading that when we are missing two defenders – one of them a rotation-player last season – we switch to EMERGENCY line up!!! Is this worthy of one of the biggest clus in the world or even in italy? I am worried about the upcoming season especially in regard to our misserable squad depth in som areas. And even more worried considering the decent mercatos clubs like juve, fio, roma and napoli have going on.
I never knew pple could be this dirty with their words..so u rather we spend the extra 1mill on Honda and go 3months with a CB less..

All this silvestre hate before he even plays for Milan sounds very very familiar. Sounds like the pazzini hate last year before pazzini killed it last season even with balo starting over him. Without pazzinis goals we wouldn’t have a chance to be in the UCL. Bash him after he gets a chance. Oh he had a horrible season for inter? Good thing I’m not an inter fan. He’s at Milan now.
