Agent: “Top clubs follow Petagna, Cristante isn’t a surprise”

ANDREA PETAGNA is a wanted man in Europe according to his agent who claims Allegri has a lot of faith in Cristante.

Milan promoted two young players from the Primavera team to the first team this season and Bryan Cristante and Andrea Petagna have already showed a lot of promise (along with some less promising things) in the Trofeo TIM on Tuesday.

Cristante and Petagna were both born in 1995 and they are best friends of grew up together at Milan’s youth department and are now living in the same apartment. Giuseppe Riso believes the midfielder and the attack have a great future ahead.

El Shaarawy proud to be on FIFA 14 Italy cover

“Petagna is ready and has already proved that he has important qualities: he scores, but he’s not limited to only scoring – he’s also an assist-man. He has an imposing physical structure, he’s unique and has a great eye for goal. But of course he still needs time to grow,” Riso, the FIFA agent who represents both Petagna and Cristante, told spaziomilan.it yesterday.

“The Primavera? If during the year he’ll play for the Primavera it would not be a step back, instead an opportunity to play with continuity since his muscle structure requires frequent and continuous playing time. It might be ideal for him to play under Inzaghi. Petagna is one of the strongest strikers that were born in 1995 and can become one of the most promising players in Europe. He’s been training at his best and is having a great time with new friends.  He’s learning a lot from Allegri.

“Every day Allegri spends a lot time giving him advise. Petagna is very happy. If Petagna has offers? For several months now there have been 7-8 top European clubs that are interested and asked for information: in Spain, England Germany. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Hamburg are also following him and have come forward in this transfer market.

“But for Andrea, Milan is a priority: the most important club in the world. Cristante? He is ideal in front of the defense. He’s only a surprise only to those who don’t know him. He’s certainly a midfielder with an incredible talent, he’s a great player. Milan consider him unsellable and Allegri believes a lot in him,” continued Riso. Cristante is Milan’s #24, Petagna’s #37.

The Milan fans can expect Cristante and Petagna to continue to feature in this pre-season. The next game is tomorrow against Valencia at Estadio Mestalla (kick off 20:00 CET). On the final day of the month, Milan play Manchester City.

The Petagna i see is ready but not for a club like Milan. He should be allowed to continue his development with the youth sector or an experience in Serie B. I don’t want him to be rushed and become another Paloschi as not all kids are De Sciglio or Messi, they come once in every 10-20years.

every one talks about the la masia from barcelona but look what have complished(dont speak english) in less then 3 years of progress – niang, balotelli, saponara(new kaka),el shaarawy(new shevchenko or even messi),cristante(new pirlo),de sciglio(new maldini), petanga ( new brazilian ronaldo), vergara amu(new ts33), poli(new ambrosini). and all of thos are fans of milan so the wont leave(like el sharaawy who got a 7-10m contact form top clubs) *- i know there wont be a new maldini but de sciglio hes the real deal. * i know there wont be another messi but il pharaone is the real deal *- and ist… Read more »

seedorf – honda
inzagi – i dont belive i’m saying that but i think that balotelli has the potential to be better than inzagi because he is taller stronger and never feel nervous

Balo and Inzaghi are very different. Balo plays hold up play, while Inzaghi is a pure poacher. Plus, isn’t Petagna the new Inzaghi?

I think it will be nice for Petagna to be part of both the first team and the Primavera this season, as Pippo will be the coach, imagine how great you can be under the tutelage of Pippo Inzaghi, taking advice and learning from him, it’s every strikers dream. Cristante is very talented, it would be nice to see them get some playing time against Valencia. It’s probably too soon for both of them, we should remain calm and take it easy with them though, I know El Shaa and De Sci had a real breakthrough season last year but… Read more »

Guys remember not to put lots of pressure on the developing shoulders of these kids which will only outcome bad. They are not ready to take the europe highest level. We need to be patient for another 2 to 3 years. Great to see them playing but without unrealistic expectations.

This kid is ready for big step, he was really mature on pitch and knows what he wants. He needs to get more chances in first team. He’s left footed so Allegri could easily play 4-3-3 with SES-Balotelli-Petagna up front as Petagna can asist too. Hope to see more of him. Cristante lack experiences but has enormous potential to become great at Milan if given proper chance. After mistake with Gabriel he kept on goin. Both are maturing in right direction Allegri has faith in both of them. I like his approach with young guns, first he prepares them mentally… Read more »

I suggest we loan both of them for experience, or just Petagna when Pazzini recovers (January transfer window)

We’re reaching our targets slowly but steadily, trimming down the numbers in the squad. 2-4 more players to go. Then the signing of Honda along with a quality centre back and perhaps the pretty usual gift of Galliani and we should be well equipped for this season, even if we don’t receive the gift (as they’re mostly attackers) we should be fine if we sign a quality centre back and Honda arrives, whether it’s this summer or in january. I wish Odu good luck, he has potential, it would be nice if he could have a breakthrough in a big… Read more »

It’s now official Oduamadi to Brescia. Expecting the announcement of Rodney Strasser too who has been sold permanently for other half of Kevin Constant. (-2) M O V E M E N T S

As much as this team still have Traore and Marco Amelia, i wouldn’t consider it movement..
If not for Strasser’s injury, with his tender age “Traore ain’t better”.. I’ll prefer a Mattia Valoti as a sub instead of Father Traore .

Nocerino most likely Inter, Antonini maybe Monaco, Zaccardo if, then Parma… Traore is a tricky one… I rather have Kucka than Muntari, but Muntari is okay squadplayer… knows the league and so on… I was terrified when Napoli had a transfer kitty of 120… Knowing that they blown away half of it on Madrid outcast, thats just silly.. De Laurentis and Benitez looking forward to that one, hehe… Spanish newspapers are all over the place, about how Perez got 60mill for players he just want to get wrid of… You give Galliani 120 mill he`ll buy you the whole premier league,… Read more »
