Galliani: “No El Shaarawy price yet, we want Matri back”

44

ADRIANO GALLIANI has revealed more teams want El Shaarawy and say UCL preliminary matches will be the key.

There is plenty of time left for the transfer market but teams are already looking at players and it seems that many teams are looking at Milan’s Stephan El Shaarawy and Adriano Galliani is talking openly about the possibility of selling him.

“It’s not only Manchester City and Napoli that are interested in El Shaarawy, but also other clubs that are used to going straight to the point,” the Milan Vice President is quoted on the Italian press. Now it’s reported that PSG want him as well.

Salamon: “I need to play regularly”
Allievi Nazionali Highlights: Inter 0-1 Milan

“We haven’t received any offers for El Shaarawy. How much he costs? We haven’t set a price yet. I don’t want to say that El Shaarawy isn’t for sale, because that’s very difficult to pronounce in modern football. All my years at Milan have taught me that everything can happen in football. We’re not in any negotiations with Manchester City, but we signed Balotelli (January 2013), De Jong (summer 2012) and Robinho (summer 2010) from them, so they know that we’re their best clients.”

Galliani has also confirmed Milan are thinking about signing Alessandro Matri. Juventus have set a €15 million price tag for the striker, who will turn 29 in August and scored 10 goals in 35 Juventus appearances in the 2012/2013 season. “Alessandro Matri grew up in our youth sector, and that’s why we want to bring him back to Milan,” added Uncle Fester.

“Milan will return to playing with the 4-3-1-2 formation next season, but it wasn’t an order from president Berlusconi. It was a technical decision because we have signed Saponara who is a trequartista, and we also have Boateng who, in my opinion, is more of a trequartista than a right winger. So therefore Milan have five strikers for two positions. If all of them stay then we’re well-covered. If someone were to leave then we will see what happens.” Milan are also interested in Carlos Tevez.

“The two Champions League play-off matches in August will be the two most important matches – the key matches of our season. I hope that we will see a repeat of what happened in 2007, where we also played play-off matches and then won the Champions League. I remember that Carlo Ancelotti made a joke when we faced AEK Athens in Athens in 2006.

“He said: ‘I’m measuring the pitch for the final next year in May’. Who knows, next season we might play in Lisbon in the group stage, and then return for the final…” said Galliani, who will soon visit Athens with the Rossoneri cruise.

Mr Galliani i have heard you but it is you and berlusconi that is planning milan’s future on these young, promising and talented players yet you are selling them…..WHY?

Frank Kaung Htethein

Cos they care more of money than footballing.

il tsar

Just sell inconsistent and mediocre players
Don’t even think about ses price
in fact milan need experienced player
not just ordinary player who didn’t have a clue in ucl
oh god I really miss no.22’s era

Chudy

They dont call him Uncle Fester for nothing..

I openly stated that the prospect of selling SES is very tempting..in my opinion we are well covered in attack..

Football is bizness and if we can get 25m+ a good player for SES..lets take it.. We have more than enough cover for SES..may be like Matri we may get him back later..

Pato showed greater potentials than SES..lets not make another Pato error..

Cash in on him now and use the money to strenghten the team..

Milanista

Go cheer for Udinese….

kelvin

15mil on a 29 year old striker who is decent at most??? No thanks, they cannot keep contradicting the “youth system” policy they’ve opted to inherit!…

Enwongo Milani

Wts dis bullsh*t all about?? I dnt k if Pato showed gr8 potential….if SES is sold. . .(ah reserved my comment)!
Forza Milan!!

sharawy_indo

MATRI???Are u kidding me?he missed 80 percent of his scoring chances…pazzo is 100 percent better…

natti

matri ? really ?

Anti-cyborg/gaushow

WHY MATRI?

Kwabena Adu

Now they want to sell El Sharaawy and replace him with mediocre player like Matri, what happen to the youth policy,Berlusconi should just sell the club,we can not be a feeder club like Arsenal fc

sharawy_indo

a milion percent agree with u

Tochi Shevchenko

Dont be stupid guys! Galliani is drawing attention away from his real target… He knows we have pazzo ;) lets just wait and see.., and I want him to sell SES for the big box., few players are worth €40M., but with the way things are., I dont think he will.,

Milanista121

If we want to bring him back just because he came from our youth sector, why not bring back Astori? He is a player that we actually need…I like Matri, but he’s simply not what we need. We need a centre back, one or two new midfielders along with a trequartista.

Flash

Robi is better than Matri.
He is wanted by many Brazilian teams and Matri
isnt wanted by anyone except from Milan.

OH MY GODDD!

IN THIS SUMMER WE ARE GOING TO SEE PLENTY
OF SURPRISES!!!

maxi

I swear this bald old man is sick

Hasowayne

I think Old age is started to get to these guys… As much as I am a Milan fan, actually wearing my jersey as I write this… I’m not bothered anymore about what these Milan management do with the team.. I’ve just come to realize that it’s all about business and staying out of debts for Milan now, no more aspirations.. I’ve seen so many horrors as a Milan fan these past years and amazingly, I am still here supporting Milan… One thing that breaks my heart is.. Why sell those players who love MILAN SO Much and will give… Read more »

SERIOUSLY!! I am starting to despise Galliani!!!
“I don’t want to say that El Shaarawy isn’t for sale, because that’s very difficult to pronounce in modern football.”
Football did not change so much that it makes you think only about selling your best players!! Football still means building a team that brings continuity & glory. SES is the key to that :@ :@ :@
Every year we have to go through this!!! every freakin’ year :@

Simo

I see this as a political speech. He covers his real face, and gives the papers false informations. I don’t think we will sell El Shaarawy, unless a truly insane bid arrives (50-60 million). He is a true symbol of our new youth policy. And i can’t believe that we want to get Matri for 10+ million if we can get Tevez for 15 M (at the same age). Galliani doesn’t want to show his cards. I’d wonder if there will be no signings in the next two weeks, and that name haven’t even come up seriously until that day.… Read more »

BMT

if they sell el sharaawy they lose all credibility

if you’re building a team based on youth, you dont sell a budding star at 20 years of age who carried your team for the first half of the season

selling him would be a tremendous mistake because he seems like a player you can build a team around…skilled, good work rate, not a disciplinary problem

dejan10

Everyone’s wondering “why Matri??” but Allegri has said many times before that he wants him. If we had a DECENT coach he’d be able to see Matri is just another Gilardino and not worth 5 million let alone 15. Juve must think we’re insane. First we give them Pirlo FOR FREE and now this. The mind truly boggles.

Oh, and Galliani, Boateng can’t play right wing OR trequarista! That’s why we need a real #10!!! Savicevic, Boban, Costa, Seedorf…. You’re the one who bought those guys! REMEMBER?!?!?!?!?!

Well, that’s my rant for the day.

Pa ibra

if I were conte and marotta, I would give allegri and galliani their wishful matri and take their 15 million then sign belhanda and destroy them with him.

bloodyfools trying to help juve with founds and getting rid of their unwanted players.

Lieutenant Colonel Nana-Fynn

it must come again,hope lost…..

EllO

If AC MILAN WILL CONTINUE TO SELL THE KEY PLAYERS AND TALK IN PUBLIC WE HAVE A FINANCIAL DIFFICULITIES WE GONNA END UP LIKE ARSENAL ,DORTMUND … NO TROPHIES ,NO RESPECT IN EUROPE

Milan fan

I really don’t know why I still support this club.

aaa

Boateng is a trequartista.
this is ridiculous.

nick

so is this the youth direction Galliani was talking about? As soon as we develop a youth player we sell them and buy players like Matri?

And Boateng a trequartista? Really Galliani?

I always knew this BS about youth project was a load of rubbish!

Berlusconi needs to sell the club and get rid of Galliani if this is the way they intend to do things!

fyah-mayne

Even if El Shaarawy is sold the money wont be spent on improving the squad so i would rather keep him…..and boateng a triquesta? really mister galliani!!!! who is this matri guy by tha way?

Shevchenko

Relax guys, after being a Milan fan all these years, Galliani does this every year…he says one thing and does the other. I truly believe if Galliani really wants to bring someone in, no one can know who these players are until like a fews days or a week before. Still remember De Jong and Zapata? We heard absolutely nothing about them for the entire summer, and boom, they’re at Milan for medicals. Of course there is a bad side to this, just like how he sold Silva a week after he renewed his contract and said he is not… Read more »

Matri, Tevez is he insane, they are not what we need. we need players with creativity SES is one. y not bakaye, nocerino, these players we dont need and to officially sell emanuelson. El shaarway is our future, worst milan can do is sell him. Although i doubt, i think they are drawing attention from another big move

R kenny

El92 is our future player .

Alok

Milan r goin down wit these ppl in charge b&g f….off

Successlinho

No comment for now, but if…………….

olamilan

Galliani said his years in Milan has taught him that anything can happen, you know why? Balusconi might hear of the price and decide SES to be sold, and there’s nothing Galliani can do to that. It all depend on Ballusconi’s decision.

youssif

Please don’t sell SES ….and you want to Tevez and now Matri ? What happened to the youth policy and I think we have a good squad just need a few more additions and the best suitable formation . A few months we said SES is not for sale and we considering his sale? Please don’t..Forza Milan

RKaY

Trust me I am worried too, but I remember last year when everyone hated galliani and then he signed balotelli and he is our savior. Only time will tell

Echoops

WTF?!?? Matri? why him?

Joshua

What i say wont change his mind but as long as am Ac Milan fans and I still support this team. I will advice my oga at the top to do the right thing but dont think of selling SES

Ozeki

The only reason why Galliani would express Boateng as a ‘trequarista’ is simple, which is to get the best price out of selling him. Very smart Galliani, very smart! Galliani has been around football long enough to know the distinctive qualities of a trequarista. Just look at the list of Milan #10s in history. Boateng does not fit the mold of the great trequaristas, with vision, passing ability, dribbling skills. He has none of those but running and running. Let’s be honest, had he been a real trequarista, would his old club Southampton be able to afford him? Remember that,… Read more »

Y are the leaders nt 2ru 2 their words dey are ruining d team.

Strange everyone is getting carried away about his statement about Boateng when all he has said that the only position he looked good in was as a “trequarista” in particular when compared with his output as a right winger..
