El Shaarawy: “Balo and I have a beautiful relationship” Prandelli: “I don’t remember a 2nd striker like Stephan”

STEPHAN EL SHAARAWY is thrilled to play alongside Balotelli and hopes to win the World Cup with him.

Milan sold stars Thiago Silva and Ibrahimovic in the summer and said goodbye to a host of legends. Milan are a very different team now with less big names but more youngsters and potential in the squad.

The likes of M’Baye Niang, Mattia De Sciglio, Riccardo Saponara and Bartosz Salamon could be the future Rossoneri stars but there are already 2 Milan youngsters that are making all the headlines even now.

Galliani: “Balotelli is a player we have always wanted”

“I do not remember seeing a second striker like El Shaarawy. Someone who contributes so much to the team defensively,” Italy coach Cesare Prandelli said in today’s press conference ahead of the international friendly against the Netherlands tomorrow. Abate, Montolivo, El Shaa and Balo will start for Italy tomorrow.

“Balotelli meanwhile must become our central focus.  He is not a striker in the old-fashioned sense – but a modern forward who can, and must continue, to score every time he gets a chance.” Balotelli debuted for Milan on Sunday against Udinese and become the first Milan player since Giancarlo Danova to score on his debut two decisive goals (Danova debuted in 1958, scoring two goals against Sampdoria in a 2-0 win).

El Shaarawy and Balotelli impressed on the former Inter man’s debut along with Niang in a 4-3-3. On Wednesday Balo and El Shaarawy will look to impress with the Azzurri shirt as well and Stephan is ready.

“Balotelli and I? I think it’s good for our football, we’re an example. It’s important for us to integrate. Trust and space should be given to young players,” the 20-year-old El Shaarawy told the press today at the Italy training base. “Italy has to invest more – there are many talents in Serie B. My dream is to win the World Cup and to always improve. Even at Milan we’re overcome the difficulties and we’ve risen in the rankings.

“Balotelli and I are doing well, but we must continue together and work hard. Mario Balotelli and I have a relationship that goes beyond football – we have a beautiful friendship. We are two young men, it’s an important thing for Italian football and I think we’re being envied in other leagues. Mario and I are two strikers with different qualities. He’s very technical and I’m fast so there is a good agreement,” he added.

“I’m happy to play on the left wing, it’s my idea role. Allegri changed the formation and that enhanced my features: this year we are focusing on 4-3-3. My idol? My reference point has always been Kaka. I’ve never felt pressure playing for the Italian NT. Partly because of the Coach and partly because of my teammates.”

Cesare Prandelli named the eleven players that will start on Wednesday against Holland: Gianluigi Buffon (Juve); Ignazio Abate (Milan), Andrea Barzagli (Juve), Davide Astori (Cagliari), Davide Santon (Newcastle); Daniele De Rossi (Roma), Andrea Pirlo (Juve), Riccardo Montolivo (Milan); Andrea Candreva (Lazio) [or Alessandro Diamanti (Bologna)], Mario Balotelli (Milan), Stephan El Shaarawy (Milan). The game kicks off at 20:30 at the Amsterdam Arena in Holland.

Is it okay to say “Negro” in Italy?

black milanista

It’s not “NEGRO” he said it’s “N*****” I was shock and disappointed being a fan for 15 yrs and I’m also of African heritage, think how it must feel the boy just seemed happy and this nonsense pops up. A childhood supporter he’d be heart broken and angry this could change everything.

nattimalta

imagine they also manage good chemistry with mastour in the next couple of years .. if not months .. milan would be the best young attacking force in football

Casemiro to real madrid. I really hope we can get him, but its already late right now. Our new cb is salomon, not salamon or soloman. Really annoying if u as a fans, and u don’t know d players names.

Ali

Actually his name is Salamon, check the official Milan website bro. And about Casemiro I have to say it’s the most mind-baffling deal I have seen in a long time, because he has enormous talent and could play in most teams starting XI, but he chose to go to Real Madrid Castilla, which is Madrid’s B team…

Kris

hahahahahaahahaha plz correct urself

JaRossoneri

-Paolo Burlesconi MUST apologize IMMEDIATELY !!! Many players of color have helped Milan become legendary…Weah, Gullit, Rijkaard, Seedorf, Cafu, etc… And now we have Balo, Niang, Zapata, Traore, Robinho, KPB, Constant, even SES is Egyptian. -Not to mention all the Rossoneri fans in Africa, Brazil, Asia, the Caribbean, etc. -What a disgusting human being we have as a vice president. If I had a say, he would be fired, but I don’t, so at the very least, an immediate apology. -I have always been proud to be a Rossoneri fanatic. Through all the ups and downs I have never been… Read more »

Pablo Berlusconi is a useless fool by addressing Balotelli that way!

Yaser7

This may be unrelated, but the attendance increased from 30k to 47k in San Siro between the past 2 Milan matches between Bologna and Udinese according to goal.com. This is a good sign that the fans are happy which means we will have better ticket sales revenues. hopefully this will help fund the transfer of one of our targets (e.g. ogbonna, Strootman)

Milanista121

It might not only depend on that, but also on the fact that we were facing Udinese, a stronger team than Bologna.
just saying…
