MILAN CLOSED 2012 with one of their worst performances in recent years as the game against Roma at Stadio Olimpico on Saturday evening was practically over after just 30 minutes of football. Milan were beyond dreadful in defense and awful marking by Mario Yepes let Nicolas Burdisso (13′) score the first through a header. Pablo Osvaldo headed Roma’s second in the 24 minute and Erik Lamela scored one of his own in the first time after a yet another defensive disaster (30′). Erik Lamela doubled his money in the second half with another header (61′). Milan scored twice in a minute through Giampaolo Pazzini (penalty, 87′) and Bojan Krkic (88′) but two goals was far from being the difference between the two sides. A shameful performance from the Rossoneri but they are still sitting seventh.
