MILAN HAVE confirmed the trust in Pato during a meeting with his agents, according to reports.
Pato issued statements regarding his future after the win over Anderlecht last week in which he claimed that he’ll speak to his agent as he wants to play more after a disappointing start to the current season.
The Brazilian’s representative Gilmar Veloz arrived to Italy this week and had a meeting with the Rossoneri Vice President and chief executive Adriano Galliani at the HQ in via Turati on Wednesday afternoon.
The Milan Channel claims the meeting was ‘friendly’ and ‘peaceful’ and Milan confirmed their faith and confidence in the attacker who cost them more than €20 million in 2007 when he was just 17. Galliani and Veloz also spoke to Pato through the phone; the player’s agent rejected the option of loaning Pato out.
Pato was unavailable for the Juventus game on Sunday but is expected to feature on Friday evening when Milan take on Catania. Tomorrow, Silvio Berlusconi is expected to land with his helicopter on the Milanello pitch to once again talk with the players. Since Berlusconi talked to this Milan squad for the first time, they’ve collected 7 points out of 9 with wins over Anderlecht and Juventus and a draw away against Napoli.
Catania are placed one place ahead of Milan and have one more point than the Rossoneri who sit in 9th. Massimiliano Allegri’s boys will be hoping to continue the momentum with a third consecutive victory.
