Highlights: Anderlecht 1-3 Milan

74

MILAN HAVE qualified to the knock-out stage of the Champions League after beating Anderlecht 3-1 at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium on Wednesday evening. Milan played a poor first half and didn’t have any shots on target after 45 minutes, with Anderlecht being the dominant side. However, two minutes into the second half, Stephan El Shaarawy – who else? – scored a great goal to put Milan in the lead (47′). Bram Nuytinck conceded a direct red card after fouling Alexandre Pato in the 70′ minute and Milan earned a free-kick; Philippe Mexes netted one of the goals of the season from this free kick, scoring a stunning bicycle kick which reminds of Ibrahimovic’s incredible goal against England. Tom de Sutter pulled one back for Anderlecht (79′) and Anderlecht pushed hard to equalize, but Alexandre Pato sealed the game (91′) with an easy goal thanks a great El Shaarawy assist. Milan are through.

We played poorly today! They looked so tired and unmotivated at times!
El Shaarawy was brilliant, while Boateng and Nocerino needs to leave Milan as soon as possible.
Other than that, I would like to see Robinho and Urby play some more!
Forza Milan

Nocerino performance wasn’t that great but i think he did fairly well.Bear in mind he’s just beginning to find is form,so for you to judge him blindly and harshly is uncalled-for.

Go get yourself a Kool-Aid and stop with the complaining already.Yes,our performance wasn’t that great in the first half but the second was a lot better-what matters now is the result…i bet if Milan played excellent and we went on ahead to lose you woulda complain.

You dead-wrong dude!!! Mexes goal is miles better than Ibra’s goal.Take into account the pressure Mexes was subdued to by the defender but still manage to go ahead with the kick and don’t forget there was a goalkeeper in the post…whereas Ibra’s had no defender to trouble him plus the goalkeeper was way outta his position….so yeah if you ask me i’d say ibra’s goal is much easier to execute and no better than Mexes goal.

Not so pleased with how we played, but we got the points and the qualification, which will give us a boost for sure. Now we can rotate and give our younger players and bench players a chance to shine against Zenit. I think Nocerino played well, his best performance this season, and I said it against Napoli as well, I hope he can keep on and build on this, he’s a little too slow but he works hard for the team. I just can’t believe that we conceded a goal and actually were put under pressure while they were one… Read more »

score one goal then sit back… Oh no, we were sitting back before scoring and amazinly even after the opponent were a man down – Typically Allegri. yes the most important thing is to win but could’ve played better with a better coach and even scored more considering the opponent were Anderletch. stop being too cautious Allegri!!! stop making small teams look big against us!!!

C’mon critic, Milan sitting back after the two goals wasn’t because they wanted to-it was because of how Anderlecht upped their game although they were a man down.I don’t know about you but this is not my first time watching a team short of a player plays much better.

We won, but this was literally a very poor performance. There were goals but the game was not enjoyable; that was not world class football regardless of the result. If we go with the same performance against juve, we will be destroyed. I hope we can pull it together as a team and give a decent football performance against juve. Good luck milan….

From personal and tactical perspective, I think allegri prefer to use bonera/yepes/mexes than zapata/acerbi is because of seniority or experience in CL or NT games. Allegri should change his mind and start trust zapata and acerbi more.

As for boateng…I am tired to say that boateng is one of the cause milan lack of creativity.

Seriously guys, I think their is a contract on this which we the fans dnt know. Maybe this contract was for Bonera and Yepes, since they choose to stay, I think there was a promise of them getting a playing time so I believe there is something behind it, people should sometimes think the other way and not just one way.

Pato was not even willing to play, the Mid-feild trio played really good. Mexes was so solid! El Sha is light years ahead, I thought he shuda played Robinho for Prince afta the red card. OMG I’m dazzled wid how Biglia ran the Mid-Feild wit intelligence, movement and short passes, more like Steve Nash on a football pitch.

Adriano Galliani wants to buy three big name players when the transfer window reopens, and is hoping to secure deals for Mario Balotelli, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and Lucas Biglia.

I would rather to see Pjanic instead Biglia and Ogbonha instead Mbiwa,we don’t need Super Mario we have Niang instead him we should go for Santon or Astori.

I don’t want any of Biglia or Pjanic at Milan, don’t think they’re good enough. Go for Cigarini instead.
Ogbonna instead of Mbiwa is an option I’m all for, but I would be very happy if Mbiwa joined us. If both of them joined us, it would be a dream really.

You don’t have a clue.Pjanic was a one of the best playmakers last season and he plays for crapy Roma. This season he scored 2 goal goals in 4 games and he even didn’t started all those game.Look he’s goal from freekick against Lazio it’s masterpiece.I watched last game because of Verdi and guy set up two chances for Osvaldo, made assist to Marquinho who was fouled and received penalty and scored a goal.

Actually I do have a clue, and I do not think they’re good enough, that’s what I think though. And Pjanic wasn’t that good last season that you want to make him out to be I’m afraid, he was very inconsistent.

I am fine with Biglia, but I would rather Gundogan,Poli, or M’Vila. Mbiwa would be great and Super Mario, with Pato wanting to leave, would be the best addition.

If we would get Strootman, Mbiwa and Balo, we would be so great…but another CB is needed, if Ogbonna would be added to those players, we would reach the top again for sure. But not so sure it’s going to happen, it will cost a lot of money, if Galliani don’t surprise us with his magic.

If Robinho is to always start from the bench and hardly get any playtime then we rather just sell him and make some money. As for Boa I need not say anything else other than just sell him! Realistic transfer window for me would be… Bonera+ Antonini+Mesbah out, Carvalho(good for experience)+LB in. Flamini+Traore out, Cigarini in. Robinho+Kpb out Kaka in (experience is much needed in this squad, especially from ex Milanista legend). And then either one of Pazzini/Pato out, Balloteli/Dzeko in. All of this sounds like a lot but with all these sales and a little cash injection from Berlusconi… Read more »

Why u all cryin for Mbiwa, he extended with Montpellier remember? As for Pato man that boy needs to grow up fast – was jealouse on Ibra and now probably is with SES. Just childish.

OUT: Pazzini, Binho, Boateng, Nocerino, Traore, Flamini, Bonera, Antonini, Yepes, Constant, Muntari

IN: Balotelli, Eriksen, Felipe Anderson, Jordy Clasie, Strootman, Jetro Willems, Papadopoulos, Ogbonna

Dreamer? Maybe but something big needs to be done!

Pato is threatening to quit Milan. How disrespectful to get on press and talk that way, i have a feeling he’s feeling the heat from SES and feels it’s time for him to leave. His agent has confirmed that he’s coming to Milan on tuesday to thrash out the issue with Milan to further confirm the uncertainty of Pato’s future. It seems all the old players would have left Milan by June 2013 considering Ambro too is in his last season as reports confirm yesterday and Flamini is obviously leaving.

Some people wont like this but: -about Pato, he should always start, like yesterday I dont see why he was benched when Boa was a starter and Bojan wasnt better for last 2 matches. -Pato is just never well served and sometimes unluky. -We are playing very bad with or without Pato, like yesterday was a lucky win and you people forget the team we are facing. -last match Pato won a penalty but he didnt score it I know… it only bad luck. -Yesterday Pato made it 11 against 10, maybe if he didnt it could have been worst… Read more »

If you a Milan fan and you saying this about Ses after all his done you need help. Without him we would not be here,no jokes, relegation maybe.
