MILAN won’t make anymore signings this summer – not even in midfield as the market is ‘very closed’.
Milan have already signed five players this summer and it’s July 4th: Riccardo Montolivo, Bakaye Traoré, Gabriel, Francesco Acerbi and Kevin Constant. These five signings cost Milan (roughly) €4.5 million.
Milan are linked with moves for midfielders (Lass, Veloso) and strikers (Tevez, Destro) but CEO Adriano Galliani has reiterated today that Milan have no intention of strengthening the squad, unless one leaves.
Agent: “El Shaarawy’s destiny is in his own feet”
Santos: “No contact with Robinho”
“Milan’s transfer market is closed. Or rather: it’s very closed,” Galliani told Sky Sport 24 today. “We’ve made a great effort in keeping Thiago Silva – it counts as a signing. We have 9 midfielders. Our transfer market is closed; both incoming and outgoing. Perhaps only Djamel Mesbah will leave. Our squad is complete.
“We’re talking with Torino about Mesbah. He might leave, but the rest of the player won’t be leaving Milan. If Angelo Ogbonna will be a part of the deal? No, not at all. The new Mark Van Bommel? We have already signed Riccardo Montolivo and we also have Massimo Ambrosini for that role. Ibra? He has two years left of his contract with us. He will stay at Milan. People need to thank Silvio Berlusconi for keeping T. Silva.
“Destro? If nobody leaves us, then nobody will arrive. I’m saying “if” because everything is possible. If I have met with Palermo? No, I spoke with Chievo and Genoa today about Acerbi and Constant. I met with Chievo and Genoa this morning to define the Acerbi and Constant deals. Routine work, nothing exciting.
“A salary increase for Boateng? These are private affairs. All the players at Milan already have extremely high salaries. All our players already have extremely high salaries, therefore none of the players will get a salary increase. The season tickets? There has been a decrease with regard to the renewals, but the open sale will begin today. We’ve never received offers from people asking to buy Milan – only to buy players.”
Tonight the second leg of the Copa Libertadores final takes place – Corinthians v Boca Juniors. If Boca Juniors go on to win the title, they’ll become the most successful team in terms of international titles – a title they jointly had with Milan. “Tonight, I will be rooting for Corinthians,” revealed the Milan vice president.
“If Boca Juniors win the Libertadores tonight then we will change the inscription on our shirt. I want to put the writing: ‘The most successful club in Europe’ on our shirt, if Boca Juniors win tonight. Writing ‘The most successful club in Europe’ on our shirt seems like a good suggestion – it’s long but I like it. I will evaluate it.
“Our 3rd shirt will be yellow in the 2013-2014 season. The shirts for this season were already ready, so that’s why we couldn’t make a yellow one. It takes at least 14 months. The Italian flag on our black shirt? It’s a symbol of Italianism. The Italian flag on our 3rd shirt is an idea from Adidas because “made in Italy” is an important sales argument. I said that we wouldn’t have a black 3rd shirt, but the production of the shirts begins many months before the new season. We won’t have a black shirt in the 2013-2014 season.”
Milan are kicking off the new season next Monday. They will then go out on a tour to the USA without the international players and the injured ones. A few very interesting friendlies are scheduled this summer.

our board is really cheap silvestry moved for only 8 mil and now veratti close to psg for 12 mil even veloso left and befor witsel moved for around 12 mil he is now rated for about 30 and lets not forget santon and cissoko

Does anyone know why Inter terminated Lucio’s contract? He’s old, but he’s still a solid defender. Also, does anyone know why Inter wouldn’t want to keep Julio Caesar? He’s a great goalkeeper!
because they want to make a younger promising and more competitive team they have rannochia and bought silvestry and they are close to handanovic
it seems like inter jube and roma are doing better than us
FORZA MILAN
You know, you can’t just compare mercatos for different clubs by looking at the players they’ve signed. i mean, chelsea bought hazard and marin (as far as I know), but their transfers have been awful because they spent around 60mil for just two players, none of which is sure to perform, and they still have no reliable striker. Same with Juve. They need strikers but they’re buying midfielders, when they already have a really good midfield… Milan have reinforced all the areas needed – the problem is they’re all relatively unknown players, so fans don’t really have an idea whether… Read more »
Oh, and Nesta has officially joined Montreal Impact.
Why would the keeper need to be young???
so that in 2 years from now the team wont be in crisis
its a really important position some gks can last long as they r well fit such van der sar and know cassilas but if u look at abbiati and julio cesar u can see that they look old and not well fit
oh man, milan has become a shadow of its former self. teams used to fear us, players wanted to join us, it now seems only players like taiwo, mesbah, acerbi love milan, bonera antonini to, because no 1 else wants them, i just hope this season doesnt turn out as bad as inters and romas, with juventus players they hav signed and now looking to van persie, i just hav to say milan is in for a ruuuuudddddeeee awakening.
