MATHIEU FLAMINI is set to refuse Milan’s offer for a new contract as the pay-cut is too big, reportedly.
Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani still has two expiring contract to sort out: the one of Clarence Seedorf – who seems to be heading towards Botafogo – and the one of Mathieu Flamini, until the end of June.
Flamini has been offered a new deal by the management and he hasn’t given a definitive answer. This new deal would force Flamini to cut his wages by much: he earns €4.5m while the offer is €1.8m a year.
Five reasons why Italy should be taken seriously despite their bad build up to the Euros
Ibrahimovic not a Paris SG target
According to calcionews24, Flamini does not intend to agree to Milan’s offer as he finds the pay-cut too excessive. Flamini barely featured in the 2011/2012 season due to an injury he had picked up in a pre- season game against Juventus. He played twice under Massimiliano Allegri last year and scored once.
Napoli, Marseille and Malaga are interested in the player. It’s hard to believe that they can offer him a better salary than what Milan are offering but his playing time with il Diavolo has also been rather limited.
Yo, Flamini, just one goal versus Novara isn’t good enough to expect more than 1,8 mil. Whatever, you may go.
and dat was his only appearance d whole season due to our rossoneriblog beloved Allegri, who saw more potential in d nerrazuri reject. have u all easily forgot wat he did for us dis past 3 seasons most esp last season or do u jst not knw.
Does this mean that Napoli and Marselle are better than Milan Financially?
Ac Milan really needs a bail out
No, it means that Napoli and Marseille value Flamini higher than Milan does. He isn’t a starter, and we don’t want a bench player to have the 2nd highest salary in the team. It’s as simple as that.
No it just means that Flamini is not good enough for Milan.
I hope Milan management learn from this as there are much better players availabe than Flamini. I will be happy to see Flamini leave.
Milan should go for M’vila or Strootman as Flamini replace or promote Rodney Strasser and Valoti.
nick keep looking outside n u will miss out jst like we did wit pirlo he simply rejected an offer less dan half wat he earned. ask urself dis, is muntari better dan him or is traore better, u have forgotten dat he was i of d best players d season b4 dis n was 1 of d best in world wen we brought him. yet he never gave u guys any reason to think he has lost his form infact in his only appearance dis season he [as dmf] scored a goal making his goal per match avrg 100percent.… Read more »
Ok Flamini… see you , oh hang on i`ll close te door behind you, dont forget your coat…If theyre not willing to fight the cause then say goodbye to em.
Good they already have enough defensive minded mids
Flamini should left years ago, a player who cant pass, cant dribble, dont understand the game. Hes not anywhere near milan quality. So byeeeee
Seedorf, well thanks for everything you have done, but the time has come. Thanks seedorf and good luck in the future!
@nick and @milanfan pls do not respond to such idiotic comment nxt time
good bye flamini. milan mgt did the right thing. flamini, u just don’t deserve €4m salary. the figure is too high and simply ridiculous for a player with your quality. better to promote strasser to replace you, flam. you are not milan’s assets. bye.
Flamini is getting 4.5m salary without playing in 2011-2012
That’s the reason..
Flamini intend to earn 4.5m per season again??? Ridiculous. Please let him go. Even the 2m is per season is not worth dishing on this rugby like player with no skill, no creativity and no pass.
He is hardworker,a monster, but we can get better players and with much lesser wage.
he always do such things for money as he does in arsenal…
Finally we can get rid of worthy-less 4m/year salary player from Milan..
i think if we let him go den we r repeating d pirlo incedence again, i am not saying we pay him d 4.5 but at least half of dat wld fair.
IF we keep treating our players like dis how do we expect other players to have interest joining d club except for mediocer players ofcorse who jst want to play top flight football.
