MARCO RIGONI is wanted by Milan and Genoa according to Novara’s director of sport Giaretta.
Massimiliano Allegri said Milan still need another midfielder and his priority is a midfielder of quality rather than a runner and apparently Milan have shown interest in Novara Calcio’s midfield man Marco Rigoni.
Rigoni (32) had a very impressive season despite the fact that Novara got relegated and he’s expected to leave them this summer. According to Sporting Director Cristiano Giaretta, Milan and Genoa are after him.
Galliani: “No PSG offer for Ibrahimovic”
Milan dismiss more T. Silva rumours
“Yes, Milan and Genoa are interested,” Giaretta told Sportitalia. “But that is only normal when you consider his stunning campaign with us. We’ll have to wait and see what happens. How much will he cost? About €2m.” Milan have already signed two midfielders for next season – both of them on a Bosman transfer.
Rigoni said this week that he’s a Milan fan and his dream is to make an assist for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Italian also said that after the game between Milan and Novara he spoke with CEO Adriano Galliani.

what are you doing galiani ??!
32?….no thanks….we can’t replace oldies with oldies!
get ready guys. thiago/ibra will be on their way out. the club will sign sahin/strootman rigoni and another midfielder probably acerbi dede and a leftback(maybe) thats about it.. :( im so sad as a milanista !!
what the hell what you just wrote there makes no sense :s because if milan signed dede, sahin + another midfielder and a quality leftback i would be more than happy that means we got cover for all the quality players that left (seedorf, nesta, mvb, etc) but otherwise if we sign this guy then **** you galliani why you messing up milan? i understand that we havnt got sufficient funds but come ooon a 32yr old!!! what are we? a damn midtable club how the hell r we gonna compete in CL, serie A and the coppa and if this keeps… Read more »
A midfielder with quality? I would rather see Seedorf in squad for one more year than this guy
Then you must never have seen him play, easily one of the top ten mids in Serie A.
hahaha omg!!!!! What the hell is going on?? I can see it now Milan 2012/13 winner off Champions League and scudetto.. All thanks to players like Rigoni
I really hope that I won’t c Strootman and Sahin in the colors of Inter or Rigoni in Milan’s colors.
The hand writing is clear another 32 year old,Ac Milan has no vision.Have they forgetting Masbah? No wonder T33 and Zlatan want to leave.
It’s time the fans react to this nonsense, they are messing with our hearts
no thanks,i’d prefer seedorf instead
excellent galliani and co. we should also sign lampard, barlzaghi from juve when thiago leaves as hed had a great season and del piero when ibra leaves and we are set for failure…forza management :)
signing eriksen, ganso or sahin will only happen in your dream, whilst signing rigoni and other cheap or old players are reality LOL. milan keep making lost every years. don’t you realize now that milan don’t have enough money? the best way to reinforce milan squad is probably by selling ibra to Madrid or PSG and use the money for signing sahin/eriksen and acerbi.
Everybody will know how visionless and aimless the mgt are. Milan is in the hands of heartless people who always play with our emotions. How can u market a team with such players. Our stadium is always empty b’cos our mgt are not ready to spend. Bellu has become so wicked that he doesn’t want to give just €12mil to the team to buy a player. Milan is dying in the hands of bad mgt.
frustrated from galliani and berlusconi !
Great signing. Dead weight, yet again!
just issue…..i think he have not space in midfielder.because ac milan have many typical player like him.
Milan has nobody with his skill set.
come on he’s good
32 rediculous y nt get pirlo bak e got a gud season we r doom go 4 a yung amf send ur scout 2 nedaland nd south amerika dre we cn get dm cheap nd quality
Stupid management, why 32yrs?,when we are trying to ofload our oldies….i cant see milan finish in 7th next season…i think something is wrong with them..hope zlatan and silva go to another club,i know that, milan wil still sell one of them when they see bigger offer like kaka, even, they can sell both of them if they like
If he joins us, I have no hope for us for the coming season. We need a quality player like Allegri asked for, not quantity. Strootman is so perfect and ideal for us and Allegri’s playing style, he’s the only thing we need in midfield, and then another centre back, Ogbonna would be really nice and we would honestly be set and look very promising and lethal for the coming season with young but still experienced players. Please make THIS happen Allegri, not Rigoni or another Mesbah…
if galliani is only interested in free and cheap player, then he should come for me.
and me ill accept a wage cut :) 1mill will do
32 this guy will only give us one good season, don’t know why we never got pogba he was on a free, but we didn’t get him don’t know what up with management, they want free easy to attain players.
thank u aka . why? From old to old , yes i know now dat, d so call CEO are not ready to offer us glory
Antonini thinks milan don’t need a lb as we have him in the team….
Maybe if some of you watched some games once in while you wouldn’t sound so foolish all the time. Marco Rigoni is an excellent player and would be a wonderful addition to Milan.
Thank you @ wcsg 8 gols n 11 assits . Easily beats monty . His age is d only flip side . Luks like a short term solution
There is a saying that:when an old person dies and an old person is chosen as the heir then its like giving a date for another funeral which is about to happen. Our mgt is the worst i have ever seen. How many ppl will buy the jersey of mesbah, antonini, bonera, traore, yepes n ambrosini. Our stadium is always empty due to such players. The mgt is visionless and aimless.
We want a long time solution not short time. Aged players won’t help in starting a new era.
a player of quality rather than a runner… hmm.. AQUILANI!!! Can’t believe we’re passing up on him just like that..
If thigo and zlatan leave milan are well forlowing tem.
wth, u say u want a rejuvinated milan then u want 2 go sign old legs, just when most of the 30 year olds leave they want 2 sign replacements.
No.
LWKMB! We’ve become a joke! Too bad!! Just too bad!!! Forza Milan!
What a way, for me I will prefer if milan promote huttor, carmona and comi than to spend a dime on a 32 year old player no matter how impressive he is, anyway milan is always like that selling markel and signing rigoni
Instead of Rigioni i sugested that we should call back Rui Costa, Serginho,Amoroso &co. Dirty mgt
@Adamu burga u are right.why shd u sell merkel and buy rigoni. This is pure madness. Even a 2yr old boy will never do this.
@wcsg. To be frank and honest. Do you give a coach a material woth 2m a season and expect him to compete with other coaches that are giving at least 50m? To whom much is expected, much is given.
He is worth 2m because he is 32 and mostly unknown, not to many no nothings clamouring for his signing. As for 50m, well no player is worth that, sure some move for such amounts, but it is plain stupidity. For one thing how are you to comply with FFP regs with spending like that? Was Torres or Carroll worth their recent fees? Or Kaka and Sheva? What big money signing has been? If Rigoni could give Milan 2 or 3 good years, great, better than taking a chance on an unknown youth player or over paying in the mercato.… Read more »
@wcsg, am not saying a single player for 50m. What u mean is overall investment on all players singned in a transfer window. After all with Rigoni in, our combined investment on all the three players we have signed is 2m. Lets remove Montolivo from the list cos we are fortunate to get him for free. Our combined investment on signed on fees on two players i.e Rigoni and Traore is 2m. Thats on the average of 1m per player. Even pascera can do better.
@wcsg. If Rigoni has got something to offer, he will be in the Italian national team squad for Euro 2012. Monti’s inclusion justifies quality. Rogoni is worthy of Milan and he cant even make the team to euro 2012. We are Milan for goofness sake and not Torino. Napoli is planning to spend 8m on cissoko. And yoi are excited that we are bringing a meastro from novora for 2m and expect Allegri to play like Barca. The guy does not even have the market value of Merke Soon our squad list will grow from 25 to 40 cos Allegri… Read more »

its both your and wcsgs opinions at the end of the day. I, personally, think Rigoni would come only as a backup signing. From what I know the club seeks to sign witsel strootman and dede from the money obtained via thiago/ibras sale
you know what you guys haven’t seen anything yet! just wait till the financial fair play rule kicks in then you will regard this milan as the wealthiest milan ever!
Its quite shameful dat milan has gone 4rm d beautiful bride 2d ugly witch.for us 2sign rigori den der was no point lettn our veterans go.we need a new and vibrant milan.
