MASSIMILIANO ALLEGRI says Milan will be competitive next year and will fight for all the titles.
Milan are in a moment of transition – some would say long overdue – after many of the senior players decided to leave the club. The Rossoneri hope to be winning again after they finished 11/12 with no titles.
Adriano Galliani and Massimiliano Allegri among others are on the annual Milan Cruise, relaxing but also planning the next season. Allegri believes Milan will win again and the squad is almost complete.
Galliani: “No. 10 shirt promised to Ibra”
“Selling Thiago would be a betrayal in the fans”
“On the evening of August 31, no matter what happens, I will have a complete squad,” Allegri said. “Thiago remains at 99.9% and I think that Galliani and the club have been clear. He’s amongst the top three in Europe and to lose him would be serious; I’m convinced that after the Olympics he will return to Milanello.
“It is impossible to know in advance who will be the leader of the squad and who won’t. These processes take time, game after game, training session after training session. Ibra is a player who is very angry with himself; he is demanding and seeking to get the best out of others. There shouldn’t be a question of relying on Ibrahimovic, or other players. Pato will return and he will be our first purchase of the new season.
“I want to see the desire for revenge from everyone. First and foremost, I want to win the title back and move forward in the Champions League. We will have more hunger next season compared to last year. We must not limit ourselves. In the championship last year we were the favourites and then we lost the Champions League. It’s trivial that we’ll play in all 3 fronts with great commitment and great desire to win.
“Inter will certainly fight for the Scudetto. Last year they have some problems and many coached were replaced. Juve and Milan will be the favourites. Roma will do better and Napoli will fight for top spots.
“The squad is almost complete,” continued the Milan coach. “Right now the mercato is full with many names, even with the names of our champions. I hear and read that some may leave but our club does not want to sell them because we want to remain competitive. Until August 31 a lot will be said. We’ll see.
“In midfield we will see what the situation is with Flamini. We have eight players for four places, we are missing a player, and my preference is for a quality player. The team is in place and we are competitive.
“Milan have lost this year a lot of champions and men who have made history. These champions are not easy to find. They were at Milan for 10 years and won everything possible, never by accident. There should be rules in the dressing room that must be respected. We lost a group of people who were the backbone of this locker room for many years. Apart from Ambrosini, Abbiati and Yepes, the squad is full with young boys who must show that they have what it takes to stay at Milan for many more years to come,” he added.
“The goal in mind for next season is to improve compared to the last two seasons and everyone will have to give his availability to ensure that Milan can win the Championship, do well in the Champions League and reach the Coppa Italian final. We’re in a delicate moment as we’re about to give birth to a new Milan era.”
Milan resume training for the new season on July 9. A few first team players will not be available and some Primavera players will be present at Milanello. Watch Milan’s win over Juventus in the Primavera above.
Ganz dont luk bad . Double derbies i tink milan and rome .
Once we get a Trequartista and a good Center back we’r good. Flamini can leave if he wants. After all, we even forgot he existed last season.
The squad jst need a cb,lb nd a trequartista. Thats all nd we are good to go.
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!
I hope you and Galliani are not persuading Seedorf to stay, because I don’t understand why and how he still want to stay on.Del piero is busy looking for a club where he could easily retire, and our dear management are still offering Seedorf a new deal?Christ! Its now or never to show the world of your managerial acumen when faced teams with tatical and technical savvy managers(wizards)ie SAF,the special one,Wenger etc!Even in the pennisula ie Conte,Mazzari,Guidoli etc.Last season Allegri only won 2 matches out of 18 against Top teams in all competition(poor, poor, poor)No wonder Berlu was looking for another manager. The scudetto… Read more »
The crazy thought of you thinking Mazarri or Guidoli is better than Allegri is totally beyond me.Honestly,if their technical savvy is anything to go by,then they should be atop of Milan in terms of points in the league.Anything short of that shows they’re utterly CRAP.
What Berlusconi clearly needs to do,is to get Allegri a real attacking-minded midfielder to do all the string pulling[if he does that]Then trust me….Milan is good to roll.
Milan need 4-5 players not just a lb and a cb Ambro noce monotlivo muntari , this isnt a world class midfield that will conquer Serie A or the champions league . montolivo is the only one who should be in the starting 11 , Nocerino plays well in 2 games than bad in 10 games , he’s a midfielder and i cant remember him giving an assist or a good pass or something like that . Milan needs like 5 players to restart an era , an era doesn’t begin with antonini nocerino bonera yepes muntari mesbah emanuelson ,… Read more »
Nocerino is pretty good actually what game do you watch my friend 10 goals in one season more than he ever scored at Juve and Lemo please son he’s most effective at the LCM half the time he’s been played out of position but you are right the management need important signings so I’m hoping for the best I believe a Major Player will be sold to accumerlate funds but I don’t know who Realistically speaking Berlusconi dealings in the Political area has cost Milan a great deal now cuz of FFP his hands is tied behind his back Juve… Read more »
If Emanuelson can’t pull of the LB position we should buy someone in january.
I just hope for one more creative midfielder who can support the strikers!
We need two Mid Fielders not one one AM and one Deep mifdfeilder and a LB and CB We will complete Nuri Sahin would be Perfect CM Go Gallaini Purchase Hamsik this season or u wanna lose again to Napoli 3-0…
good news, flamini it’s leaving.. so we need a good midelfilder now! Milan is a good Way guys i promise you! we will be very good this year, and i hope allegri will change the style of game, and be more attacking..! i know that we havnt buy this year not so good players i mean big players… but they are still good! and the new… so i hope we will be better then last year! ;FORZA MILAN!<3
Sell bonera tooo plzz for god sake brin ferriera back he is good almost 20 times better than bonera astori is also available and Barnetta For free Adler for free if i would be milan manager i hav purchased three players untill now allegri do think alot but not work that much…kalou for free sell robinho go for kalou…money plus kalou wat a deal…
Would much rather keep Robinho done get rid of him and get Kalou who is probably worse than him.
once again, Allegri isn’t the one in charge of transfers. galliani and berlusconi are. and we have purchased 3 players already – montolivo, traore and gabriel. as far as kalou goes, i’d rather we keep inzaghi for five more years than get kalou.
i hope they dont bring back the mr.x thing coz you get excited but at the end sadness!its going to be a great mercato time
I for one do not take Allegri’s words seriously because he knows how to handle press and put up a sweet face.We need to see him achieve on the field not just scudetto or CL or any other trophy but play as a team with some charm and pull the fans back to the stadium.
Then the right players should be bought….not the crappy midfield we having right now.
rumours say we want dede of brazilian club vasco.also inter are planning to build a new stadium!
If they sell thiago and ibra then milan will loose its reputation as a big club. Even small teams are buying quality players to beef up their teams but milan is busily buying mediocres. We need quality b’cos we can’t compete with this squad. Our team is full of mediocres. We need new mgt with vision b’cos this current mgt is visionless and aimless.
How is Milan going to lose it’s reputation as a big club,uh-uh????For the past years,Milan have sold big time world best players…but we still Milan, aren’t we? So the point of Milan losing it’s reputation is baseless.
However,i do agree with you on the sale of Ibra/Silva.Yes,Milan shouldn’t let go of them,if we are dead-serious and wanting to be taken serious in Europe-then i feel it’s not right to let go of them not matter what.
Every team has its key players who always lead the team. Madrid, barca, chelsea, man u etc. Our leaders are ibra, thiago and kpb but our mgt want to sell them due to their selfish interest. We can never replace these players when we sell them. We shd think about the team and stop being stingy.
Wow u want kalou ? He is d most useless chelsea player . Bsides kpb goal against arsenal was a noce assit . Also hear we are lukin at dzagoev . Took long enough
I dont understand the bonera hate . Last season i did but he has been solid . He is no silva but he gud . He has his brain farts but evri1 does .
**Inter interested in Sahin.(I hope we don’t lose Sahin to inter.)
**Flamini has rejected to sign the contract extension he was offered.
**It said that the new Liverpool manager doesn’t want Aquilani.
**Ac Milan are looking at Dede, the Brazilian defender. (hopefully not to replace Silva)
**Chievo verona don’t want to pay 4m for the co-ownership of Paloschi.
**Braida is currently having dinner with Ganso’s agent.
**Serginho, reportedly, convinced Galliani of buying Dede.
it would be great if we got dede. i still prefer acerbi though, since he’s Italian, and has experience in Serie A (though i realize dede wouldn’t be so different, since acerbi was playing for a small italian team). i really hope we keep one of aquilani or flamini, really don’t want the novara guy in Milan’s squad. paloschi in milan would be interesting, but i don’t think he will get playing time, what with el shaarawy, and with ganz apparently looking to be promoted to the senior squad next season.
apparently, luuk de jong is available for only 12million (may be pounds though, not sure). would be awesome if we could sell robinho and use the money to buy him. we would get overcrowded in attack though, if we do that. imo, we need a defender (or two if we can get rid of bonera) and 2 midfielders (sahin and strootman/eriksen. yes, strootman and eriksen play different positions, but i’d still go for only one of them), and we’re done. None of these guys is expensive, except maybe eriksen, but we can get him with money from robinho’s sale.
According to Footballpress milan as agreed with barca over TS33
You can dream all you want,Milan will either buy some crappy player you have never heard of all no body at all
All these great players want to play for Milan but ask yourself if Milan is ready to buy any quality player?
dont trust every article on fotball press same as caught offside.they dont have any reliable sources and they are quiet shallow!
in my opinion 3 more players will do which is a :
cb: astori/acrebi/dede
cm:sahin/ganso
am:oscar/erikson
and perhaps another player if needed:
cm:strootman
out:bhino,seedorf,mesbah,aqua is gone
in:didac as well
Ibra among ten players above 29 nominated for the golden foot award.
Gianluigi Buffon, Andrea Pirlo, Didier Drogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ricardo Kaká, Iker Casillas, Carles Puyol, Raúl González Blanco, Xavi Hernández, Clarence Seedorf, Nederländerna.
As bad as it may sound, T33 will be sold and i want everybody to be ready for this so we dont get disappointed. Galliani, Ernesto Bronzatti and Sandro Rossell had a meeting yesterday regarding his sale in Barcelona which Barca offering 40million euro plus Keita. Milan decline the offer requesting for a loan of Thiago Alcantara with option to buy. Even though Galiani and his Milan entourage have left Barcelona, Galiani has to Bronzetti to remain there for further talks with Barcelona on the deal. Thiago Silva’s agent was furious with Bronzetti today because the dude was leaking details… Read more »
will see..what will be? Is mr B & G can add quality players into milan 2012/13 squad or just wait for free players to make milan a looser and we’ll shy to buy milan jersey.
‘what a crap penalty lol Anyways great win.
Really dnt nod wat to believe anymore regardin ts . Regular tin as morrati and roman are in charge of transfers . Perez used to be in charge til mou .
Would you choose T.silva and Robinho or (dede and acerbi along with lloris, ganso, sahin, Strootman and G. rossi ) ?
**Rumours are that Ac Milan are fighting against Barcelona for signing Llloris
PSG has offered 38 Million euros for Ibrahimovic
milan team next year i think
abiati
abate dede/acerbi mexes urby
noce strootman/bigila monti
ibra sahin/thiago
pato
money from the sale of silva and binho
Pls the only creative player we need now is christian atsu of fc porto.he’ll not be more than 3m.
PSG has offered €40m for Ibra. Damn. Bye bye Thiago Silva. He will be pissed if Ibra leaves.
If milan are going to be stronger, then the quality players shouldn’t be sold, rather, the mediocres can go. Milan should go for world-class players. TS, Zlatan should remain, replace the mediocre players with qualities personified in order to maintain or even improve its status quo.
Can any one tells me more about TS33 bcos Mr G av agreed with uefalonia with the prize tag of € 40m wow wat a team i support
Dude no offense but we dont noe dis atsu dude . Sahin, thiago perhaps .
Flamini is leaving???? Haaaaaaa!!!! That means PAPA seedorf will be our teraquister next summer.
Forza Milan
what does flamini leaving and seedorf staying have to do with our trequartista position? our trequartista is boateng… and allegri said robinho might also play there…
Selling Thiago? Why not Ibra highest earner in Serie A with moody character and no big game mentality? In the end Silva will be sold, bye bye our traditional defense and it’s heritage… And don’t bring no Keita in because… Milan needs both Sahin and Eriksen, Acerbi/Ogbonna/Astori/Dede or promote Ely. Promote De Sciglio, Ganz and VALOTI! What is that kid still doin in Primavera he’s the next big thing in Milan i’m sayin it over and over again!
How many strikers can score 35 goals in a season? Hell will break lose if they sell T33 and Zlatan,They should rather sell Pato and Robinho,These players are not contributing enough for Milan
Pato is always injured
Robinho can’t core
These guys should goooo
Zlatan and T33 should stay
Rumours:
-Inter is buying a stadium
-Milan already secured dede for january, 8.5M (not official)
-PSG paying 34M + 6M for Ibra
-Milan put robinho on sale
-Milan wants Lichnovsky (CB)(18) from U. De Chile
-Milan sent an offer to valencia of Vila + 5M for Jordi Alba
I can’t belive milan at times, so many players in serieA are form milan’s youth sector and stil they want sign expensive forginers. De sciglo proved after 2 matches that he was better then all the leftbacks in the past 2 years. I guess because of marketing and worldwide reach and sponsor deals, they need some high profilc names in the club, but still give the youngsters there chance.
But they already made a huge mistake… giving merkel back to genoa… damn…
this is bad. Negotiations for thiago have leaked to the press and now thiagos agent is pissed, im sure so is the player, and the management is embarassed. Galliani, this time..you have really made us look like fools. I hope the thiago transfer is stopped but im certain thiago will wana leave now. I know Milan, these last few years transfer policy has been to sell a star(Sheva, Kaka..and now Thiago) and replace with someone mediocre(Olivera, Kaka was not replaced until Boateng) who has done well but yeah if thiago leaves im certain zlatan will push for a transfer. what… Read more »
I maen 40M for 30 years old and 12M per year salaries, I will say go for it!
With that money we can build squad. But I hope this was just a rumour. Anyway who said TS33 agreed with barca? Even berlusconni and his agent denies it and said thiago will stay. Guys, please be smart, and don’t believe in every rumour. We want to sign dede, but serginho itself said that it won’t be silva’s replacement, but will be pairing with silva.
Galliani officially denied allnews reported by french tabloid who said ibra is going to PSG. From now on we better not ecome a stupid fans who believe allthat news come up. Season is over, euro hasnt started, yeah, that tabloid and newspaper lack of news, thats why they release untruthful reportss
@mazz de sciglo is already part of d first team as he’s going to be abate’s backup….and i really do hope milan gets strootman for dm and for am i’d really love to see milan get oscar shouldnt cost much
Let them sell the club once and for all
