Galliani: “They will be missed…”

21

ADRIANO GALLIANI says it’s sad for him to say goodbye to the legends but you can’t fight time.

Milan will salute many veterans that are leaving today in the game against Novara: legends like Nesta, Seedorf, Gattuso, Inzaghi and veterans who’ve served them very well like Zambrotta and Van Bommel.

This is the end of an era for Milan – an era which was at its prime in the days of Carlo Ancelotti. Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has the job to build a new Milan side, but won’t forget those who’re now leaving.

Allegri: “This campaign was not a failure”
Gattuso: “I felt the need to leave”

“I’m sad. These players kept us at the top of Europe for years. But little can be done with the biological age. We will miss these guys and it will be difficult to replace them,” Galliani said according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. Galliani has seen many legends leaving before, as he’s been with the Rossoneri since 1986.

Milan will give Gianluca Zambrotta, Clarence Seedorf, Gennaro Gattuso a start today while Alessandro Nesta and Pippo Inzaghi will come off the bench. Van Bommel, who’s leaving, was left out of the squad.

Lewangoalski

Only if the games of time could be turned backwards,if there’s a possibility of another life i’ll want to play alongside greatest players like you guys.Oh how much I love you all,I’ll surely remember u all like i still do remember cafu, serginho, maldini, shevchenko and other likes of great milanistis.Love u forever

Forza1899Milan

Ambrosini should leave before any of them. Sad they’re gone, and really sad he’s still here!

Don

It seems we are after Tevez again I dont now why Galliani is so obsessed with him he is good but its not like we really need him now that Cassano is back and he is 28 already. It would also mean less playing time for El Shaarawy probably. We could use that money for talented midfielders and defenders that should be our focus.

ladon

Milan is going all out for Tevez again. That might spell the end of Pato in Milan.

greg

how can Galliani be so blind! Why are we going after Tevez again when we have Pato, Cassano, El Shaarawy, Ibrahimovic and Robinho meanwhile Seedorf and Merkel most likely leaving means we have no attacking midfielders! In modern football attacking midfielders are more important than strikers and we could be using that money to sign Hernanes and Ogbonna since we need a new CB as well

dredd

yer get tevez and change formation, for ibra, tevez, cassano to play together, if we get him.. Then sell robinho we dont need him

Walexis

Lets sell robinho and get tevez.

Mankind

Robinho we need u, he play well i dnt want lost robinho.

vicnasnaija

we must kip pato, sell binho instead.im nor a pato fan boy but d kid’s got potential.

TWF

allegri should change the formation into 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 and play robinho as a left winger to give him another chance for showing his best for milan. we all know that robinho is not consistent as a striker. as for pato, anceloti has said that PSG will try to sign pato again in june. why don’t milan request a swap deal with PSG: pato for sakho plus some cash? milan have failed to sign lilian thuram in 1990’s – early 2000’s. i don’t want to see the same failure happening again in the near future. if milan want to keep… Read more »

If we do not invest, at least around the £50 million mark, which will not happen unless we sell thiago silva, then i can see next season being a very bleak one for milan. The importance of these players in terms of experience, leadership and the understanding of milan tradition makes this a very heavy loss for milan, i ask myself are players like nocerino, montolivo, boateng, pato and abate etc really ready to be leaders, and my fear is no, and if the injury crisis that has so plagued this season where to continue into the next then i… Read more »

Can’t believe how some do not want a certain player in Milan but want the same coach who was responsible for the failure of that player.
