AC Milan face FC Barcelona on Wednesday night when the clock points 20:45 at Stadio San Siro for the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals and coach Massimiliano Allegri has named his squad.
Thiago Silva, Ignazio Abate, Rodney Strasser, Mathieu Flamini, Alexander Merkel, Filippo Inzaghi, Antonio Cassano and Alexandre Pato are injured (though not all in the CL list), while Mark Van Bommel is banned.

Dude, have you seen Mesbah against any team that is not bottom of the table?(yes i saw his goal, but he cant defend) If he plays i can guarantee he will be useless. Antonini on the other hand plays with heart, and this is something we need, and ofcourse he has much more experience. As for Urby, not this game, start boateng we need his aggresiveness. And Abbiati over Amelia, theres no reason why he shouldnt start. Maybe urby for nocerino, but not sure.
LOL Emanulson over kpB? bonera and anto? and amelia? amerlia is worth as much as a trafic cone in goal, bonera gives more chances to the oppsostion than xavi does for his team. and same goes for anto. emanulson is not convincing especialy against kpb.

while i like something like this in fifa 12…the players are used to a certain formation and tactics and this is probably not the best time to experiment
yea, you’re absolutely right.. its not practical without training..
I support this idea because Barca control games from the midfield. If we match them player for player in the midfield we can certainly win and cause them a lot of trouble because Barca defense is not solid!

I really hate seeing Ambrosini in the lineup, he’s such a limited player and have never liked him. I’d we played without a defensive midfielder and play

Our midfield wouldn’t then have any defensive player. We need one, if we want to press high up the pitch, Ambrosini is perfect defensive midfielder. If we lose ball to someone like Xavi, Ambrosini would quickly win it back from him. And that’s very, very important. Not to mention, that he’s our captain and a true leader on the pitch.

Well, would swap Aquilani for Seedorf. Aquilani is bit underrated player, but he is inconsistent because of his constant injuries.
