Sneijder denies Milan link

WESLEY SNEIJDER insists he has never thought of switching to red & black in light of Friday’s rumours.

Inter are having a nightmare of a season as they are out of the Champions League and the Coppa Italia, and are nowhere near the third place which would lead them to the next year’s CL qualification phase.

Sneijder was one of the heroes of Inter’s historical treble season but that’s a far memory for them now and they are thinking of a complete summer overhaul which would apparently also see Wesley going out.

Today’s Italian newspaper suggested that Sneijder does not want to leave Milano and he fancies a move to the black & red side of the city. The attacking midfield is good friends with fellow Dutchman Mark Van Bommel, and with Kevin-Prince Boateng as Sneijder’s wife and Boateng’s girlfriend are friends as well.

“The rumors about me joining Milan are silly. There is no truth at all in those rumors,” Sneijder, who was very close to a move to Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United in the summer but decided to stay, said.

Sneijder says he does not have the intention to come to Milan, but Adriano Galliani says that either way there is no place for him in this squad. “I’ve read the stories, but we already have two excellent players in his role,” the Rossoneri Vice President and Chief Executive told the Italian press. “Urby Emanuelson and Kevin Prince Boateng are doing really well and we are therefore well covered in the trequartista area.”

The last attacking midfielder Milan were linked with was Ganso, but it appears that an AM is no longer a priority for Allegri. In case that Sneijder arrives, Boateng will be dropped back to the right/left midfield role.

I love Sneijder, but I hate that he plays for Inter. I would not mind a player of his quality joining our side. He is a distributing midfielder that can orchestrate an attack and I think we need that type of player.

I don’t think it happens, but I believe he would be a good fit.

Off topic i’m just worried that Milan have 3 difficult games before the quarters… we play Parma, then Juventus and then Roma… all in a span of 10 days and the we play Barca… Fatigue will be a factor… and I hope Allegri.. rests players at the right time… we should not lose our Scudetto advantage to Champions League… realistically we have a better chance of being Seria A champions..

Paul

Parma isn’t tough. Juve is a coppa game and we can play our second or third string team. Fatigue shouldn’t be an issue. Of course we focus on Parma and Roma…; but really should ignore the coppa game.

In addition, we are recovering many of our players including Boateng and Merkel who trained fully. Also Muntari can come into play with the rotation.

It’s a shame Milan have to play Barcelona now, I thought they had a chance to beat them in a one game final.

They need to play urby at left to have a chance?
