Report: City to reject Milan’s latest Tevez offer

MILAN’S “creative” offer for Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez is not believed to be enough.

Tevez agent Kia Joorabchian sounded rather optimistic about the possibility of his client coming to Milan on Thursday, as Milan submitted their 2nd offer for the Argentine after Man City turned down the 1st.

However, the Italian media reports today that Manchester City do not intend to accept Milan’s offer for the 27-year-old, which was according to Milan Vice President and Chief Executive Adriano Galliani “creative”.

“City are ready to say no to Milan’s offer for Tevez,” Sky Sport Italia respected journalist Gianluca Di Marzio revealed on Sunday evening. “The English club are hardening their position because they are irritated by their attitude and that of the player. They feel Milan are doing all their talking through the media.”

Milan’s creative offer was, according to reports, a loan deal – with an obligation to sign the player in the summer for €24m if he reaches a certain amount of appearances in the Rossoneri shirt while on loan.

Inter are meanwhile working hard to overtake Milan in negotiations for Tevez. The player’s agent has made it clear that it’s Milan or nothing for Tevez, and the striker himself reportedly promised to Galliani that would reject Inter’s offer – which is believed to be much more attractive than Milan’s for the Europa League side.

“Therefore they await Inter’s written proposal for the player. The Nerazzurri would take Tevez on loan with an unconditional pledge to buy for €25m at the end of the season,” continued Di Marzio. “Now it is up to the Rossoneri to either match Inter’s offer or let the player escape from their clutches.” Milan keep counting on the strong will of the player, but City continue to reject their bids for Carlitos, who’s also wanted by PSG.

Oh my.

Lado

Well, i said it before. We should have wrapped up this deal before the new year. Now city have the advantage. Lets us all agree that we have lost Tevez to inter. this will anger leonardo the most because he deliberately backed out of the deal to allow milan sign tevez

Giorgio

We can not let him go to inter!!!

Pfff…..why is milan so stubborn? why can’t they just take him already!

i just hope galliani has a trick up his sleeves at least.

Lado

What trick? The only thing is banking on is that Tevez should reject inter. What if he accepts?
I wonder what galiani went to do in Brazil when he has a deal to tie up in England.

Kain

Well, maybe he sorta did a backup transfer, incase Tevez went to Inter? That seems sort of realistic.

bjornmilan

Leave him get a left back and cam!

vicnasnaija

i am so sick n tired of dis saga.inter, pls get him.we’ve had our chance n we wont sign him.

Shuji

City wants da cash..if nt tevez den lets get torres..der ready to let him go on loan n hes cheaper…he’l do beta wit us

Chandler

I think Tevez will end up at Milan, as Galliani won’t let something like this put the transfer in jeopardy. That said, I think we can win Serie A even without Tevez. The last pictures of him that I saw, he looks like he can lose a good 5 lbs to get back in shape…so it is a pretty big risk!

Ahmed

ok i like tevez but i never rlly thought we needed him.we hav 2 world class strikers along with stephen nd inzaghi.nd cassano is comin bak eventually.if we hav money then lets use it on another position.but i wud like allegri 2 give taiwo more chances, maybe againest inter.

milan till the death

Fernando Torres on loan….easy….but still hav hope that we will sign tevez

Lado

Inter is getting him on loan with a mandatory buy option. the same city proposed to us and we have a chance of spreading the payment over three seasons beginning from next season.

cero

hmmm.galiani is wise.believe in him guys.we have the upper hand.cities stuborness wont last.Expect tevez in the stands 4 the derby with galiani.mark my words.

Yemeni-Milan

Omg that would be great, rub it in their faces!

Kain

wont happen

Milanista1899

what the hell..??..According to Tassotti,Tevez would still undergo a mental check-up before he plays..
I say we wait them out….

john

we need midfielders, denfensive and creative, and a new lb and cb, half the team gonna leave this summer.
spend the few money we have wisely, instead of blowing it all on one player

greg

Its Milans fault for being so “creative” IE tight. But we have El Shaarawy we don’t need Tevez anyway, all Allegri needs to do is to actually rotate Ibra every now and then, we need someone like De Rossi way more than we ever needed Tevez

Sammy

Rotating Ibra means we loose. Cant you see that. Shaarawy is no star player. He is only up and coming. Ibra him self was a bit older when he first joined the Serie A system. There is a place for when and where someone should play. We are battling several opponents at the same time now. Shaarawy will cave and loose his self confidence if he is pressured. He might not know it now but he will feel it if everything goes south ways. Then he is in no use to us. Patience is a virtue, give it time, he… Read more »

greg

But Ibra got burnt out last season from playing too much, I’m not saying he shouldn’t be a first choice. We did just fine without him against Inter last season.

Sammy

We did. But this is different. We are competing against 4 teams now with no margin of error. When and if Tevez arrives I’ll be happy to rest Ibra. I don’t think the scudetto is in any danger but the CL could be if Galliani messes up the deal with Tevez.

Hjelm

Why can’t you just sell him? You still got all the money in the world!

pr3ian

Dahane man city ro gaiedam! Teves is awsome nd we need this type player plz buy him now

Optimus

carlitos wANTS MILAN wwhat is citys Problem we should match the bid to 25euros cos its a million only nothing more.WE ARE MILAN

vicnasnaija

cmon,stop dis already.

cero

guys jst relex.tevez is a done deal.its jst a matter of tym

Kain

I doubt Torres is the kind of player that we should get instead of anyone else lol

Optimus

yea@pr3ian we need to equal the amount to 25 euros lol

Caleb

TEVES will come to milan. With or with him anyway, we are wining this league. And why wont alegri give SES a chance to prove his worth? When pato was removed, i expected him to come in and robinho for emanuelson. I see no reason why that guy should play for ninety mins as an AM..

Nyemasem

Now everybody will see how stingy our mgt are. People shd stop praising Galliani cos his way of buying players is very provocative. He always want players for free but won’t sell his players for free. He is an example of a hypocrite.

Red&Black-indo

that’s how a great investor are! maximum profit, with minimum capital.

it’s you who should stop dislike Galliani.

Sammy

So why are you complaining? Are you selling players to Milan? Your comment makes no sense unless you are not a Milan fan. This is business. If Tevez was hard balling with different clubs, Galliani would never attempt any bids for him not now not ever. Its just business. And we have hit City on its Achilles heel. That is Tevez. He has been rejecting offers from left and right to make sure Milan is the only club on the plate that City can choose from. Which is forcing City to cave or swallow their pride and pay Tevez his… Read more »

Ryan

wow how dare u call Gallaini a ‘hypocrite’

Wat do u want Milan to do? spend 40m on Tevez and then be out of CL because of FFP? Have some common sense dude….this is business

Bashing joe

The more we r wasting time nagging over small differences, d more he wil become more expensive & out of our reach. Its true we use media to get wat we want which is very provocative. Its best we get him soon enough for him to be able to blend well into the team.

cero

you guys sure got the word.’provocative’lets jst hope he joins milan.by the way.why is city stil reluctant to say no offically?

sherbini

we don’t need tevez. he will make a lot of problems. pato could leave, and i prefer pato. if we are capable to pay 25 million euro then we can solve the midfield problem. we clearly need to a creative midfielder and a defensive midfielder.

Ted

Hope so! We don’t need Tevez, there r other departments to fix… I said it before and i’ll say it again – Shaarawy>Tevez

Red&Black-indo

If Milan fails to sign Tevez, then PSG will sign him. Leo and Carletto wont let Inter signing Tevez which could endanger Milan title chance. hahahaa..

Juwon

The only way to rotate ibra is by buying tevez. So we need him and didac(if taiwo leaves which i dont support, montolivo and merkel. We dont need de rossi cause he is 29 by next season

Milan-Fan-Atic

doesn’t make sense to me, why don’t You want De Rossi, just because he’s 29, that’s a good age, we can use him for 4 seasons and get rid of him afterwards, is that bad ? I agree though that Tevez would be a good addition, but ONLY because we don’t got Cassano at the moment, to be honest it would be nice with Tevez in the Squad, but I can see us winning the Scudetto without him. I admire the transfer-Skills Milan got, but one thing is getting good cheap deals, but only going for those deals, is to… Read more »

Sammy

The creative midfielder/ attacker/ target player is Ibra. Tevez could be the box man that Ibra hates to be. Then Ibra can roam freely on the pitch instead. Ibra and KPB can do that job together. If you all saw the game against PSG. Ibra was playing as a trequartista the whole game. But on paper he was an attacker. He needs an equal part counteract to interact with. He can’t pass the ball to him self can he now. And he certainly can’t get a decent ball from midfield, well he could when Cassano was their with his brilliant… Read more »

Mr Goph

And tevez will soon be 28 so whats ur point.

Mr Goph

Alexandro Custarcuta: with the players available to milan, i don’t believe milan needs Tevez. Tevez would be more valuable to inter than to milan.

Mr Goph

Did any body watch montolivo? I think he coming back.

shade45

Forget about tevez and go for leandro damiao, montolivo and naingolan from cagliari. That’s all we need for now. Forza milan

donVito

i hear that santos would like robinho, milan could offer robinho + 25 mil for neymar

victor michael

nd it wud b nice if we have neymar in our team

vicente

After all this talks if Inter takes him from our nose it will be a big psycological blow to us,to me it’s a big disgrace where is Berlusconi? I thought his coming back was going to do us a great good, but for now i haven’t seen anything.

vicente

@donVito,who is Neymar

El brainie

shaawry>neymar.

Nyemasem

@Vincent,u are right.they just sung praise on him that he is rich but am not seeing it for the past 4yrs. If bellu is richer than morati then he shd prove it to the world cos am not seeing it. They shd be a little bit serious with this transfer mkt cos our team needs a lot of enforcement if we want to win the CL.

azzuri94jkt

WHY DO WE NEED TEVEZ?! WE HAVE 4 STRIKERS! Midfield is weak! MIDFIELD, ibra can be 300* more deadly if we have a creative midfielder who can give him the ball whenever he pleases! Pirlo assisted ibra 3 times last season! From long balls which he controlled and slotted home perfectly, what’s tevez gna do?! Buy monty NOW, enough of big names. Time to get players who play for the front of the shirt before the back! Get de rossi! He’s free in summer! Imagine de rossi – nocerino – monty and then CAM is boateng! Midfield is a joke… Read more »

Rageout

Forza milan

It's Maqq

I think Mancini is playing his part in favoring the transfer of Tevez to Inter, this deal would have already been done if the sheikhs were directly involved. Its never about 1 or 2 millions and not even about obligation to buy. It’s all about making this transfer as difficult as it possibly can for Milan.

Nyemasem

Galliani’s approach is not the best, instead of meeting city they are playing around with tevez in brazil.they shd be serious.

Salkin

Two possible scenarios, City will agree to the latest Milan offer, or Milan will improve it so they finally get Tevez. If Milan is as interested as they seem there is no way they’ll let this slip through their fingers. If you look at the transfers they’ve made the last seasons involving older, already developed players, I can’t see one that hasn’t finally made it into the first team, so it would suprise me if Tevez would be any different. There is no way they would still be interested in him if Allegri didn’t believe Tevez belongs on the pitch,… Read more »

blueboy

We are not letting him go on the cheap or in some deal where you can send him back.

We want rid and have Milan have nothing to strong arm us with, City have all the aces here and talk of otherwise is at best ill judged.

Milan need to pay up or shut up tbh.

Alvi

Lets Get Damiao

Black&Red

Get Ganso and Moussa Sissoko young fresh and just what we need. And get Torres on loan.

black milanista

Torres is a dead horse

D-Bo

As I’ve said, if Tevez comes, I would root for him like every member of this squad. However, I won’t be disappointed if the deal falls through. I think that money is better spent on some young, creative players for that midfield that have a desire to represent Milan. I also wouldn’t be surprised if I do a complete turn on Tevez some day. I was never that high on the acquisition of Ibra when it happened, but I have been a huge fan of how he has performed both on the field and off while he has been at… Read more »
