Manchester City warn Milan over Tevez

MANCHESTER CITY chief Brian Marwood says time will not make them accept Milan’s offer.

AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani said he’ll wait until January 31 if he has to in order to sign Manchester City’s want-away striker Carlos Tevez, as The Citizens rejected the Rossoneri’s initial bid.

City consider Milan’s offer too low – Milan offered a loan with an option to buy the player at the end of the season, but the English side demand a sale in January; according to Marwood, other teams want Tevez.

“Well, the position hasn’t changed. They (AC Milan) came to us with a loan option, which was something we rejected and that still stays the same,” The Blues’ chief, Marwood, told Sky Sport News on Friday. “Clearly Milan have decided to conduct their business through the media. That’s something we choose not to do and will continue not to do and things haven’t changed. Carlos Tevez is still a Man City football player.

“Will he still be a City player on February 1? I don’t know. It’s a situation everybody is aware of. He’s made his desire to leave the football club. The club have gone on record to say they will consider that and it just really depends on us receiving something that is acceptable to Man City,” the main executive staff added.

“That’s no different to where we were before and that will not change and we’ll have to see what the next three to four weeks brings. You know there’s more clubs than just Milan interested in Tevez so if they choose to wait until the end of the window then they may pay that price if other clubs come in before them.”

Galliani admitted the operation will be difficult and according to Friday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan will hold a meeting with Manchester City next week to try and work out a deal for the Argentine striker.

Keep saying that! He will join Milan… And City will have no choice.

Gio

A player’s will is 70% of the deal…

Same thing that happened with Ibra is gonna happen with Carlos

vicente

Uncle Fester has to do something about this,i know he is capable…..If we get Tevez i am sure we will win the the Seria A and by next season Milan we be the envy of the world

Afanofmilan

Man city , do d rite tin . Give tevez to us . We should buy some1 dat can play in cl .

PandaWorrier

oh, yes, we’ll see

Chris

I think Milan are playing rather too smart, just because Tevez is willing to join us. The deal is dragging for too long and there are chances other big clubs like Barca, Juve and Madrid could come in with a better deal. So now we need to act fast by sitting with City soonest and find a way out on this; maybe by submitting an improve offer.
We must not blow this chance away. Ibra and Teves attack will be great.

Ryan

give me a reason why would Barca or RM would want Tevez?

Gio

Ryan
Villa just got injured…they need a striker who can play as a central one and a one on the side…Teve fits in perfect..

As for Real, they have enough players to cover that one central attacker role.

(enkel)

But still, Barcelona have Sanchez, Pedro, Iniesta and not too mention Afellay. They’re all fits in perfect as well.

Giancarlo

That doesn’t add up. Barcelona have many other forwards. And he certainly won’t join Real Madrid. At this point, his choice is Italy. It’s the favored destination for Argentines.

Simo

I agree with Ryan. Barca or Real doesn’t want him. There are only a few clubs out there who can afford him, and want him. Among them, we have (far) the best squad for winning titles.

Walexis

I just dont understand their problem, why dont they let the poor man come to milan? But if they dont, they can continue to pay his salary without playing 4 them.

vicente

Eventually Tevez may join Juventus, after everything he is willing to sacrifice Milan is very reluctant to sit down with city.
Conducting business through the media is very childish,if Tevez joins any team please dont complain
Forza Milan

Giancarlo

Juventus can’t afford anything at this point and are an inferior team. And Torino isn’t that nice of a city anyways. You tell us to stop complaining?

dApInT

I agree with vicente, media hype and rumours is a childish way to act in business matters…

gbengezy

they shouldn’t expect us just to pay for him like that. he is not physically and emotionally at his best, the deal will still remain loan and option to buy

vicente

There is nothing like a player willing to sacrifice 50 percent of wages just to play for a club, this show how eager he is willing to play for us,if Galliani doubts this guys commitment then buy Maxi Lopez…..
Tevez is one of the best strikers in the world just like Ibrahimovic

Chandler

I hope he doesn’t find a dead horse’s head in his bed tomorrow morning!

Sohel loves Shama

Forget Tevez…buy Midfielder n left backs…we need defence… Viktoria Plzen scored bcaz of defensive problem, not attacking prob…evn we conceded agnst Bologna bcaz of lb n dms…not bcaz of lack of attacking depth…

Giancarlo

No. At this point we don’t have enough depth upfront. It’s a very serious problem. What if Ibra gets injured? what then? Ca*ssano is out indefinitely I hate to say it. And you want Pato played no matter what…

We have enough DMs, and getting Nocerino back was important.

Giancarlo

No. At this point we don’t have enough depth upfront. It’s a very serious problem. What if Ibra gets injured? what then? Ca*ssano is out indefinitely I hate to say it.

vicente

Barca is broke they have nothing left in their accounts.Very soon they have to sell Messi to survive besides tevez likes Milan

godfrey bengreen geffi

tevez is a herro but city are too arrogant to let him join milan i think because of rejected bid for kaka

Arturo

Tevez would be a great addition to the squad, it is important that our offense continues to be the best in Serie A, but we also need to get some defensive player, our defense isn’t doing as well as last year…
