In the hole behind the Brazilian and the Swede, Urby Emanuelson is favourite to start according to reports. Urby played well against Roma, coming off the bench, and could be given an XI place against Montella’s side. Alberto Aquilani is the alternative while Stephan El Shaarawy has some chances to start as well.
Antonio Nocerino is suspended so the midfield could look a little different. La Gazzetta claims that Alberto Aquilani, Mark Van Bommel and Clarence Seedorf could all start together on Sunday, although Massimo Ambrosini was tried out as a 2nd defensive midfielder alongside Van Bommel in yesterday’s training. Alessandro Nesta is still unavailable so Daniele Bonera will probably replace him alongside T. Silva.
Taye Taiwo’s poor performance against Bate Borisov means Gianluca Zambrotta could return to the starting XI while Luca Antonini is also available after coming back from an injury this week.

seedorf doest have energy for midfield,but still have technique passing ability and great shot so he must play behind a strikers.
I personally think that Emanuelson (just like Boateng) is not a trequartista! I’d play him on the left of midfield cos he’s full of running and his pace can be a big plus on the wing.. Line-up:

I won’t play football manager or anything. We will see who starts. It’s best not to start an unbalanced formation. The idea of starting Ambro and Van Bommel together is ridiculous. Emanuelson has played well in the subst*itutions we have had… so he should start.
No need to play Football Manager. Emanuelson should start this match though as he has impressed in the time he has had. The idea of playing Ambro and Van Bommel together will backfire big time, Simo. Just like it nearly did against Lecce… and we won’t have Boateng this time.
I know you’re right, but we dont have enough quality players. I think Ambrosini shouldn’t play along with Bommel, but we dont have choice. If Allegri finds something new, i’d be happy. But i’m worried now. Maybe i ran too far, but i usually try to figure out the (or my) optimal formation. Even if i know Allegri knows best. That’s me.
