El Shaarawy: “I would like to stay at Milan forever”

STEPHAN EL SHAARAWY wants to remain at Milan until the end of his career – and he’s only 18.

The most unexpected transfer in Italy was perhaps El Shaarawy to Milan: the 18-year-old joined the Rossoneri from Genoa on a co-ownership deal after a very impressive season in Serie B with Padova.

Adriano Galliani has already told him that he counts on him to fill the shoes of Kaka at Milan, who left for Real Madrid in 2009, and El Shaarawy now says that while Kaka is his idol, he’d never like to leave.

Asked whether he would like to experience playing abroad, the attacking mid/second striker, told Goal.com: “Personally, I really like the English game. Many people always tell me that I have the characteristics to play in the Premier League. Honestly, I like it a lot, both in terms of environment and football.”

“However, if I must be honest, I would like to stay at Milan forever and not go abroad. After all, I’ve always had a soft spot for Milan, beginning when I was young. Kaka was my role model, and thus I place Milan before everything.” It has never been a secret that Stephan is a fan of the Rossoneri and of Ricky Kaka.

El Shaarawy has already scored his debut goal against Udinese (“It was an incredible sensation”), and Coach Massimiliano Allegri again gave him minutes to show his skills on Saturday against Palermo.

“I thank Allegri for all that he’s doing for me. He pushes me often, especially during training, but I know that it’s for my own good. He’s a great coach who, when he has the opportunity, does not hold back youngsters and lets them play. The UCL squad list? These are the choices of the coach and must be accepted. I’m young, I will have other opportunities. I must think of doing well with Milan when I have the chance.<

“I want to convince Mister Allegri that I am worthy of the first team. I hope to score and play as much as possible: this is my objective,” El Shaarawy, who said he wouldn’t trade his hairdresser for anything, said.
